Based on my experience with him, all I can say is, "Good."

Bless you, Fluttershy, for supporting the latest member of your HUB family.

Funny you should say that: a Hollywood light of almost the highest wattage possible, or at least among the most respected, claims to be up for doing  Random Roles in the future.

@avclub-9d512e28838bd0483c473d80a285d4e8:disqus , I will not jump through hoops to be named your new favorite AVC writer!

Hearing the amazement in Neill's voice when I made that comment made me very, very happy. (I further amused him by revealing that I have a VHS copy of Flirting around here somewhere as well.)

Agreed. But all things being equal, I'm just amazed that I recovered in any way whatsoever from having Sam Neill threaten to hunt me down in the early minutes of our conversation.

I don't know if that was me or not, but I do indeed like Don Dixon, both as a musician and as a person. He's a swell guy.

I'm torn. And I'm afraid to go back and confirm which of us is right.

If they'll approve it, I'll write it. But in the meantime…

Goddammit…

I thought I'd talked to Pierce about it in our AV Club interview, but, no, the discussion I was thinking of was actually in Todd's interview with Jones:

The fact that she mentioned it was the only reason I didn't ask about it. If I thought there might be some great Michael Keaton anecdotes to be had, I would've, but I just figured there wouldn't be much more to say beyond, "Harold Ramis: still awesome."

Something else I do when I'm running low on time is give the person a chance to pick their last role from whatever's left on my list. They usually get a kick out of that, especially when there's something really weird in the mix.

I can see where it would read as overly dramatic, and she was somewhat halting in her delivery as she was unspooling the story, but I think it was because - if what I've since heard is true - she's never really talked about it in an interview. I didn't know that at the time, though. I'd just read about the re-dubbing

If there was a turning point in the conversation as far as her deciding to really open up about her career, that was it.

I concede that I am guilty of forgetting this crucial credit within her filmography…and this is precisely why people should follow me on Twitter -@nonstoppop:twitter - and send me suggestions when I mention an upcoming interview. I'm not saying I'll get to them all, because I never do, but at least they'll potentially

You will be pleased to know that I finally got him on the phone last night. Also, thanks for the "but that's not what happened, not at all" joke: it has, for better or worse, come in handy on several occasions while I was attempting to connect with him.
