As for the former, it didn't make the final cut, but if you're curious what she had to say:

It didn't make the final cut, but we did talk about it briefly. Most of it, though, was just her commenting on how crazy awesome it was to work with some of her collaborators on the record…and not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's not overly exciting to read.

I couldn't bring myself to do it. My sensibilities are very delicate.

I'd originally indicated parenthetically that she was teasing when she said that, possibly to get back at me for blowing her mind by asking about her cover of "You Make Loving Fun."

Maybe you're right, as I'm not from the area and don't know a thing about it, but there IS a place called Boardy Barn in the Hamptons.

Actually, it was more a comment on the general unlikelihood of a 40+ year old film adaptation of a Broadway musical just happening to be playing in a nearby theater on the cusp of two people sharing a moment over a song from "Guys and Dolls." I just addressed it to the people of Detroit because that's where the show

Maybe they tried interviewing him. (That's what started me down the path.)

Whereas the defective kitchen plumbing inspired a sigh of recognition in our house. (We're still a paycheck away from getting ours repaired.)

I promise you, it was always there. I'm the one who wrote it…and unlike way too many of my pieces, I actually turned it in well before the deadline.

Equal opportunity: it was a wine tasting. :-)

Stupid wine. Fixed.

See, I told you I'd been drinking too much wine today. I'll take care of that…

Swear to God, I asked her about it, but it didn't make the final cut because…I dunno, I guess it wasn't deemed that great a response. Basically, all she had to say was that it was fun, that she still has people coming up to her about it, and that it's where Iman and David Bowie first met.

If I think it might be warranted, I might ask if I can send a follow-up question via an email to their publicist, and if it's been a pretty laid-back conversation, they'll usually offer up their own email. But there are lots of different scenarios when it comes to interviews. For instance, with Jonathan Banks, when I

Actually, I did it for the insect overlords, which are expected circa 7575. But I expect they'll pass on the word to the chickens.

You are correct, unfortunately. Oh, well…

Yeah, immediately before "The Dark Secret of Harvest Home," I'd asked her about an Afterschool Special she did that same year. I don't know where that bit went.

Weirdly, I just did an interview with Al Stewart, too:

Yep, it was a press junket for the Blu-ray release of "Jackie Brown," though our interview was a phoner. Best part about that, though, was that to get Forster on the line, the publicist told me to call the hotel and ask for Pam Grier's room. I always knew Max and Jackie would end up together eventually…

Yeah, I should have mentioned that above as well, but I did check out Keith's interview before I did mine and tried for the most part to avoid crossover in order to make the most of the limited time I had with him.
