Ed Skrein's Daario never would've stood for being left in Mereen.

Then why bother having the charade of Joffrey and Tommen? Why does the castle surrender to Edmund Tully just last episode? There has to be some Barratheon somewhere just like there was the Unlikley Targeryan.

If you had Daario in your deadpool, do you get half points?

But you don't really. The rules of succession are pretty hardwired. If you lack legitimacy anyone can overthrow you. For instance, the greatest general in Westeros (Randyl Tarly) is just sitting there with a huge army. He would roll up Cersei in five minutes.

Right, I mean, I understand why. But when Cersei took the throne I felt like the old lady in the "this is how none of this works" commercial.

You think Gendry would've started rowing a little faster when he heard Tommen took the Nestea plunge.

I disagree with the review. This show might be salvageable if Gugino/Wilson had any chemistry or if Wilson were at all right for this role.

If that performance doesn't get Ben Affleck into rehab, nothing will.

    In no order:
    War Horse
    There Will Be Blood
    A Separation
    Yi Yi
    Black Book
    Gran Torino
    Donnie Darko
    Dear Zachary
    The Royal Tenenbaums
    Black Swan

These two don't exactly have exciting personalities. I know their "journey" began on Paradise not the main show but wouldn't Tanner/Jade be a better candidate for a spinoff?

My feeling is that I don't care about how well Unreal depicts The Bachelor, but I do need to believe that Everlasting is a realistic TV production and is a show people would watch. Generally, with a couple exceptions, I've gone with UnReal's variations from how The Bachelor works.

Well, he's certainly smarter than the Adam of the finale…but that's another topic.

I'm not that negative on this episode. The manipulation of the contestants is a little on the nose than usual, and I'm not exactly thrilled with Coleman's character. But I think the twist at the end was interesting and Darius's injury has potential.

That's an interesting thought, although personally I still find Quinn entertaining.

Lifetime spends a lot more money on research than I do so I'm open to the possibility that unReal's non-social media/Av Club audience has different views than us here, but can they really like Jeremy?

Well, to clarify I meant "repair image mode" as a short hand for ulterior motives since that was what we got with the two Suitors we've seen thus far. I should have more fully stated that. Then when you responded that a Bachelorette wouldn't be in "repair image mode" I thought you meant she would be on the show for

I think we're talking past each other. I meant a Bachelor/ette in the show for "right reasons" (as much as humanly possible for a TV dating show) not just limited to image repair.

This argument would be a lot more compelling if any other supporting characters were remotely interesting.

Maybe, but that would feel like the show putting on kid gloves. We have ulterior motives for "The Bachelor" and the moment we have a "Bachelorette" it really is about true love.

"All I can say is that we employ a veteran, and he's a good person."
