They're both great!

Also the Icelandic phone book is alphabetical by first name

I feel the same way about It Follows, but Get Out lives up to the hype IMO

I think the Drive soundtrack kicked off that trend in movies/vidya games, and it arrived at a time (late 00's-early 10's) where that throwback synth style was making a resurgence in pop music anyway. Personally, I love that shit.

I agree with you, but also the Democrats really need to be running error-proof campaigns such that a lapse in judgment does not result in Donald Turmp in the White House

Hillary's using Turmp to cover up BENGHAZY!

I guess you didn't manage to avoid commenting on it though

I think avoiding him getting shot places more power in the audience's fear that he would get shot, and is therefore a better critique of a society where we expect that result

CGI looks a little dire but I'll likely check this one out

I guess the best thing you can say about loathsome people's obituaries is to have pity that they spent their short time on earth actively working to make the world a worse place, and to lament the loss of potential therein. Maybe if Ailes had spent more time wandering through Glacier National Park or something instead

Ugh I'm getting superstitious because I was thrilled when Scalia kicked it and then the rest of 2016 ended up him getting his revenge from beyond the grave, so I'm trying to tamp down my glee at Ailes no longer polluting this dimension lest I poke some "now impeachment will never happen muahaha" demon

"though I sure there's some French New Wave person I've never heard of who's probably a master)"

I have a soft spot for this stupid fucking show and its insufferable characters. It presents such a cozy, soft-focused, cable-knit acoustic world where the only problems are of the existential variety.

Kind of. Everything before Naomi Watts opens the blue box is a dream interpretation of everything that happens to her afterwards culminating in her suicide

1) Emma Stone looks insane in that still, giving me Laura Dern at the end of Inland Empire vibes

Have you ever had a *perfectly* ripe avocado? They're something else

Avocados are God's Balls

Equity as a concept is another thing that confuses me. Why do you need your house as collateral on a loan for something else? What are you buying that's more expensive than a house? Another house? GTFO with that shit.

Owning a house kind of baffles me tbh. Isn't a mortgage essentially just rent you pay… to the bank? Plus, you have to do your own maintenance and still gotta pay property taxes. It's not like you get some sort of allodial title that allows you to institute an anarchic free-for-all a la the basement of Paddy's Pub.
