Loved it, overall
Too young to have experienced the grindhouse era.

I'll cop. I was born in 1978, so I was too mostly too old for Limp Bizkit, though I had one of their songs (no clue what) on a mixed CD a friend with a very early CDR burned for me in 1997 or 1998. I'll admit I didn't hate "Nookie" as much as I should have.

Why didn't we listen when Jeremy Piven, Jessica Walter and Jon Favreau warned us about academia?

Disappointing
I just was kinda meh about the finale. Tudyk was good (but he's been pretty good in everything, like stoner kid in "Wonderboys" who asks about Errol Flynn's sexual use of paprika) but the ending with him just sorta wandering off was anti-climatic. Am I remembering right that we know pretty much nothing about Boyd, other than that he used to be a cop, and why he's willing to work for the Dollhouse? He seems like he'd need some reason to work for pimps and killers beyond a steady paycheck.

That wouldn't be any percievable difference from American MTV. In the late-90s they were playing videos from 3 a.m. to 8 a.m. or something. I'm not sure if they even still do that.
