Speaking of diverse casting, how often do openly gay actors like Luke Macfarlane get to play the badass, ex-soldier main love sex interest like he does in Killjoys?

Same here, I watched them both and over the course of the seasons I grew to love Killjoys while I got less and less excited for Dark Matter (though I would still call it a good show).

I also think most of the characters are fluid, but Elliot hasn't labeled himself either way yet. You can have one drunken threesome involving a girl and still call yourself gay, you know. I'll wait to see how his marriage works out before I call him bi.

Ehm, no most of the comments in this thread discuss the willingness to acually show sex scenes, not just the orientations (and how clear are those anyway when most people don't know whether that dude is gay or bi?). And nobody demands full penetration, but The Magicians doesn't get to pat itself on the back when any

I watched the whole season and I'm still not into it. All the worldbuilding was fine, but I just don't care about any of the characters or what is happening. I probably won't be back next season.

A mainly offscreen threesome, shown in just a few seconds of flashback.

That is a very important point. The worldbuilding in Killjoys is worlds ahead of Dark Matter.

It's 2016, it can be two things.

2014, actually. Time flies.

Interesting, I thought the suit jacket was the least objectional clothing choice in that picture.

2006 Me would have loved it. 2016 Me is just disappointed in 2006 Me.

98 minutes doesn't seem bloated to me at all, a lot of comedies don't even stop at two hours these days.

Frank Stallone?

Decent movies having shitty trailers is not surprising to me at all anymore.

And we need to bottle that crazy chemistry they both had in The DUFF and put it in every movie!

Oooooh, that is a fantastic idea.

I know which one is right! The other one is.

I approve, but I also need Robbie Amell as Chipmunk Hunk.

You're not broken, you're just not into absurdist hangout sitcoms. There are probably still dozens of sitcoms out there that you could enjoy, the modern comedy landscape is vast.

I feel bad for Ed Weeks. He seems game for anything the show wants to do with Jeremy, and the show just ignores him.
