Todd, you are right about them using every tired plotline that we know, but you are way off in thinking they make them original. There is not one surprise here for viewers and the annoying children who ramp up the "quirk" factor add nothing to the mix. Somebody, anybody, do you think this show can do anything…

the little waves Sally and Don exchanged…you knew they had a great day and you also knew it was going to end badly for Sally. You only get a piece of Don whether you live in the same house or not.
