a whole lot of the Champs eps have been good lately, even the Sasha Grey + FlyLo was interesting.  The best Neal Brennan ep I've heard lately is the one he did on Mohr Stories.  Fascinating stories about him and Dave Chapelle during Chapelle's Show.

I think he's talked about this in interviews.  Apparently, he carefully constructs his internet image for maximum hatred.  Oh, and it's supposed to be brilliant and funny if you're "in the know."

Doug, you're awesome on the Joe Rogan Experience and on the Ice House Chronicles.  It's a shame that the AV Club doesn't cover those podcasts, Mohr Stories, Duncan/Ari's podcasts, or The Champs.  All of the aforementioned podcasts have had standout episodes in recent weeks.  I can't recommend them enough.

She's also a sociopath who's capable of crying on command and making up stories about her mom in a car accident to better sell a car.  Reminds me of the lady who met a guy at a funeral and killed her sister two days later.

judging from what we learned on adam carolla's podcast about last week's episode, I think there was something else going on that made Penn upset.  After hearing his interviews on different podcasts, I just can't imagine that the same Penn who is so jovial would sulk around as they portrayed him in this episode.

listen to the first episodes of mohr stories with his manager barry katz where they ruminate on how Jay came to be on a podcast after doing movies with Tom Cruise and Jennifer Aniston.  I think that provides a lot of context for what may be seen as "smug and unpleasant" in later episodes.

Of course Podmass is aimed strictly at the CBB/alternative crowd.  Why is Pete Holmes usually mediocre podcast covered every week but Mohr Stories isn't?  Mohr Stories with Neal Brennan was excellent with great insight into the Chapelle Show debacle.

I still like the show too but I can't justify it in any critical kind of way.  I watch most of my shows on the Treadmill and even as terrible as it is, Ringer is one of the few shows I can watch and lose track of the time.  Then again, so is Justified, however, since I run 5+ times a week, I can't afford to be picky.

why don't you guys cover the Joe Rogan Experience or any of the Deathsquad related podcasts?  I listen to most of the ones listed here, but the JRE, Lavender Hour, and Beauty and da Beast are all amazing in their own non-ironic non-hipster kinds of ways.
