Most interesting stat I saw on Fox was that in the ten years he didn't have Peyton Manning, he only had three winning seasons.

Forsett has always ran well wherever he was; he just never got a real shot at a starting job (because, as with so many QB prospects, the NFL often gives first, second, and third chances to people who "look the part" before finding the guy who doesn't but who actually performs well).

This is probably true, but there isn't much competition: Bart Starr, Terry Bradshaw, Joe Montana, Troy Aikman, John Elway, Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger… that's all I can think of off the top of my head. You could argue that he's better than Bradshaw, maybe, or maybe one of those Dolphins / Raiders / Cowboys teams

These three are certainly the correct answers in some order. Eli is significantly more talented than any of them.

Chan Gailey seems like a weird hire, but I like it in a certain way: I'd forgotten he was the guy who completely rewrote the Chiefs offense on the fly into a pistol spread attack when he was stuck with Tyler Thigpen at QB. I certainly have my doubts that Geno will ever be anyone's answer at QB, but Gailey at least has

"the widely held belief that the Pats videotaped other team's practices,
which is completely unsubstantiated but remains a fact to many fans"

I'm definitely going to think about this. I have a friend who grew up here and went to high school in Alief, with Donnie Avery, I think at least one of the Bennett brothers, and some other future NFL players. A bit young for the window you're talking about, though.

We were supposed to play Eli Manning's Newman team one year in the LHSAA playoffs, but they got upset in the first round.

Let's test your theory!

That worried me too— I spent a lot of time thinking, "You know, Andre, what if you ARE successful and find some real racism? What happens then? Something terrible, to you or your son? Have you thought this through?"

I do think in general there has been an increasing trend for television writers on the Internet to really be writing about pop culture, or a show's place in / reflection of the culture, instead of writing criticism of the show. I know it's hard to write about Broad City without discussing those things, but in general

I don't care about PED use, but he definitely took the "keep hitting home runs and I'll look the other way until it comes out, then pretend I really care" approach to them

Went to The Site That Shall Not Be Named after reading about the gay panic in this movie, hoping that A)Rabin would be reviewing the film and B)He would talk about gay panic. Spoiler alert: It does not disappoint.

To air after Dexter Knows Best, a reality show about a well-off family that pretends their patriarch is not gay a serial killer.

"DRONNNNN!"

There was this one, by an occasional AV Club contributor, posted in the comments a day or two back. It's from 2012: http://robertdavidsullivan….

I'm not sure which I like better, Roman blowing it with Cramsey or Roman getting rejected by a 16-year-old.

"It's like I always say: 'Yes. That Hanks.'"

The Spanish-guitar version of "Baker Street" in her sex dream always cracks me up.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
