Except Katy, Taylor and Miley have done pretty good jobs making themselves seem likable to most people.

Except Bieber's problem isn't so much his music as his personality. I can't remember an artist (without a criminal record) who is so actively disliked among non-fans as Beebs. I remember when Stones fans threw cups at Justin Timberlake during a 2003 concert in Toronto, but even then, I don't think people actively…
"If George Lucas and J.R.R. Tolkien had collaborated on a film, it might have resembled Krull"
Why is it that to me, the violence in "Home Alone" seemed cartoonish and funny, but the violence in the sequel seemed shocking and sadistic. But they were the same gags.
"Bob Gunton—who plays President Sebastián Piñera"
This might be good. He'll probably lose the Oscar to John Williams this year, so good to know he may get nominated again next year.
Can we all at least agree that "Lincoln" was Steven Spielberg's first genuinely boring film?
When a movie's good, people ignore a bland title. "E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial" and "Star Wars" come to mind.
Best Steven Spielberg movies not scored by John Williams:
What always shocks me when I watch Goonies today is that there's a lot of swearing in it. Which is weird, because kids never swore in the 80s.
Saw the "Force Awakens" trailer in IMAX a couple days after it went online.
Pterry? As in "play with me, Pee Wee!" That Pterry?
Even though the best film he's ever done was PT&A, the best moment in any Steve Martin film was in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels when "Dr. Emil Schaffhausen" shows up. Martin's wordless reaction is hilarious and priceless.
Same thing happened with Pierce Brosnon. People kept talking about him being a great Bond for years and years that it made no sense to cast him. Too many people thought it was a good idea.
I'm a huge Spielberg fan, but Lincoln did not deserve to win Best Picture that year. Spileberg's a master storyteller, but Lincoln was dry as Illinois sand.
Biggest movie disappointment of summer '82:
a) Tron
b) Firefox
c) Huh? I was born in 2003.
" “Pump Up The Volume” was massively successful. It came just a few slots shy of landing in the Billboard Hot 100."
Greatest documentary I've ever seen, but it sure would have been nice (if highly impractical) if it were shot on film.
But the point is you can tell the difference. E.T. looked "real" in 1982. CGI E.T. did not look real in 2002.
