Are they still London Suede in the US?

If there's a definition of Britpop that encompasses Wet Wet Wet, Take That and Sweden's Rednex, I'm sold.

I saw it before European Vacation.

One of the three best songs in that musical, along with "Suddenly Seymour" and "Part of Your World."

Maybe it's because I was born in the interim, but the sixteen-year gap between parts II and III of, you know, seemed longer than the TWENTY year gap between "Dumb and Dumber" movies.

Right. Because the action is almost entirely set in one room, they couldn't have gotten away with pretending it was New York.

I'm just going to assume that Woody Allen keeps declining this every year.

I'm going to say something controversial about what's widely regarded as the best movie musical of all time:

I bought "In 3D" thirty years ago, but just made the "Polkas on 45" / "Stars on 45" connection within the past minute.

PROBABLY the "Weird Al" song most famous than a song he's parodying: "I Lost on Jeopardy!" *

An entire article about a one-hit wonder band that doesn't even mention their one hit?

But what if the re-release of "The Lion King" was number one for two weeks? Because that's what actually happened.

Fanboys (of anything) in a nutshell:

Okay, Universal marketing department. I forgive you for spoiling what's probably the best joke in "Die in the West" (it involves a reference to a certain, oh what the heck, it's Doc Brown).

Aaaaaaaaand this is why I try not to publicly make fun of Tyler Perry movies.

What better way to mark the beginning of The Phantom Menace's 15th Anniversary (5/19) long weekend!

More American Graffiti!

I remember it was a big deal when it came out because Mike Nichols was directing Harrison Ford in a film written by the guy who wrote "Regarding Henry." Who was, like, 12 at the time.

Clearer and Presenter Danger.

I don't blame the composers. I have to believe that directors prefer music that goes "THUNK THUNK THUNK."
