He's still out there doing stuff. The J Geils Band was still popping up and doing shows here and there up until recently.

As I said in the SNL weekly reviews, while Louis CK is almost certainly in the clear - he didn't even write the skit, for one - the three writers who did look pretty suspect. She's screened it at shows and festivals, including Vulture Festival in NYC. It seems pretty reasonable to expect that either

Told you guys.

Here, I saved you the work

Gimme down your hair and lemme climb up the ladder of your love!

Amen.

Just put this on and see if it doesn't change your mind

U2 played their first significant shows in the US in Boston, where Geils was from, in the winter of 80-81, at the Paradise Rock Club. Peter Wolf, lead singer of the J Geils band, was at all three shows, I believe. Without Wolf/Geils and Boston, U2 maybe never takes off in America to the same extent. U2's first US

He was the founder and guitarist, but not the lead singer - that would be the inimitable Peter Wolf - which meant the spotlight was never fully on him. He's sort of like Mick Fleetwood and John McVie in that way; you don't really think of either of them even though the bands are named after them.

Do yourselves a favor, and go listen to the albums Blow Your Face Out and Live Full House.

The positioning of AIDA as Madame Hydra is also an excellent way to use one of the great underappreciated comics characters, btw

I dunno, this probably fits in the show's top 10 episodes, and if you believe this show has a standard or slightly frontloaded bell curve (which unlike most shows, is probably not that far off), that makes this at least a B+ if not an A-

The pivots to greatness this show is capable of is remarkable. I've never had a show give me whiplash from one string of episodes to the next like this show sometimes does.

The Shins were last relevant in roughly 2003. They are passe at this point.

Excellent refutation. Well argued, considerate, dispassionate. You must do wondrous things for the debate team at Harvard.

Quinn went out as a hero, as far as he knew. That's the best that he could have hoped for, and it was a fitting end.

Everyone likes things from when they were young and dumb. I still like some Red Hot Chili Peppers songs.

I don't think she's a monster, at all, but I agree with the rest of your premise. The attempts on her life finally pushed her to the point of trusting (basically) no one.

But also: of course there's something off about her. She just survived multiple attempts on her life. I don't know that there's anything higher level going on than that she has been made incredibly paranoid to the point where she might be unfit to lead.

These are better questions.
