dude is so good at editing it almost looks like a green screen sometimes. damn

I love Billy Wilder — Double Indemnity, Sunset Boulevard and Ace in the Hole are some of my favorite films of all time.

haha see today's follow-up list, dork

I kind of love the headline of this story. Even on the best Beatles albums, like half the songs are entirely skippable, no one ever admits that.

came here hoping to see the hold steady, did not disappoint. prolly the best band with the worst cover art, every single time out of the gate.

yeah that record blows

yeah for Cronin I prefer his garage side. Production aside, the melodies on III sounded like rewarmed retreads from II.

Jay Leno's garage?

why did it take people 3? 4? albums to realize this band sucks? and yet even though everyone knows they suck they still get positive-ish B reviews? Is it like high school and everyone is afraid to really lay it on the cool kids?

yay shitty shows that are shitty live forever now

I wish Cronin still made something in the ballpark of garage rock.

dunno man, his first record was a solid A, II was a B and this is a somewhere around a C- for me. pretty much no memorable melodies, no energy and all the lyrics are completely mundane. And then it's topped off with a mountain of strings and other over-production. Not for me.

I was a big fan of Cronin but this record straight up stinks.

Yeah but what do Right-On and Dumbass think?

"You should learn to be nicer" is so fucking sexist.

her haircut makes a lot more sense now knowing she used to be a goodie-two shoes churchie.

this ruled

i loved Inherent Vice, quite a bit more than the Master. The Master introduced a bunch of great characters and then had no idea what to do with them. I feel like there's actually not really much to "figure out" or "unpack."

Half of Nebraska is pretty awful, but the final third redeemed it for me. Bad acting, Midwest caricatures instead of characters, etc.

thee white stripes arent "jangly"
