This amateur sketch of Stankfoot …

thoughts and stuff
i remember reading in Fast Food Nation that kids under a certain age can't tell the difference between programming and advertising anyway … so if the FCC took things seriously you should ban advertising aimed at children (under a certain age), which would ruin the business model for childrens TV,

unrelated
to me it looks like a leprechaun to me

this movie's so unrealistic
she's clearly violating school dress code

typical college experience/watching movies ironically, etc
I've actually seen this, or at least most of it … haha .. Quaid's robot is the most unintentionally hilarious thing int he "film," it's essentially a guy pretending to be a robot, kind of walking like one and running into things. fantastic.

get back to Sierra Mist commercials, Gaffigan.

i hate to admit it but I only got into the Walkmen after I read the review to "You and Me" on the AV Club, which has become one of my favorite records (and now ave gotten into their older stuff) . I'd read about them before but when they first came out I just thought they were a second rate "The" garage band and never

I agree with Reformed Calvinist: Hundred Miles Off is pretty hard to listen to in one stretch, despite a few standout tracks.

no matter how I answer that it'll be obvious and pointless and annoying. Pavement and Tom Waits and Otis Redding and The Replacements and The Clash and Tribe Called Quest and every other artist from every other "good" genre besides mainstream pop music because I'm an AV Club reader so of course that's what I like.

I hate that fucking song.

complaints
does "reboot" mean the fucking origin story, again?
Jesus fucking Christ I hope they just jump in with him already being Spider-Man.

Except for the rare soul who both admits liking pop music, reads the AV Club/Pitchfork/indiewhatever and still likes Robyn, her music is for people who won't admit to liking pop music, so they find something from Europe to champion that's not really any better than the stuff shitting all over radios here.

robyn is terrible.

i sort of loved most of "Once Upon a Time in Mexico," but I was 17. I'll have to revisit it.

oh oh oh, of his earlier sound, "Blue Valentine" is pretty fucking unbeatable, starting to show a few cracks in his initial persona, foreshadows that famous early-mid '80s trilogy.

opinions
It may not be critically fashionable, but if I'm honest with myself, "The Heart of Saturday Night" is my favorite Tom Waits record, and then "Mule Variations."

This song is good despite itself.
