One thing I've noticed with Magnum catching reruns is the transfer quality is not very good. It looks more aged than say Mannix or Rockford.

I wish Michael Douglas would have worked that Bondesque part into his Behind the Candelabra portrayal.
My theory is Stratton's wife in real life was pregnant and he bored the cast/crew with stories to the point they worked it into scripts.
The demise of Al the Pimp happened differently than I guessed it would have. I was expecting a dude brawl between Al and Jim not Al making a stupid move in front of a lot of witnesses.
Caught up now. TV Historian question, how many of these shows back in the 70s got a free vacation by creating a script making Hawaii as a location? Besides Rockford, I'm thinking Sanford and Son and Brady Bunch.
Maybe V? It's kept pretty vague in the description.
With Cuse, who knows? He's said Bates Motel is Twin Peaks which I don't see.
Sounds like the Aaron Eckhart movie from a few years back Battle: Los Angeles.

I think only used previously in an emergency when Jim had to evacuate during the grenade attack.
Odd picturing Jamie Farr as Angel Martin if Stuart Margolin wasn't available.
Lance has a Doctorate in __________________.
Jack Daniels.
or Flipper or maybe Timothy?
Mr. Headroom?
quick note on this while I'm catching up. Check part 2 where Jim and Eddie return to the trailer at the beginning. When they enter the rarely used bedroom entrance you can see their shadows on the backdrop which is supposed to be the Sand Castle.
I was thinking Chevy Chase, but that's Generalissimo Francisco Franco

"L.J.'s a plumber"
That makes sense. Some episodes back they had the garbage disposal problem (I think Rocky dropped a bullet in there) and to get L.J. over without paying they came up with a barbeque as an excuse. I don't ever remember his actual line of work being mentioned though. I always thought he was a fellow…
I didn't know this was the last one filmed. I wonder when his doctors told him he had to stop, was it right after filming this or earlier and he figured a good end would be giving the crew a paid trip to Hawaii?
I found this out after her Rockford appearances but Garner's first screen tests were done with Rita.
