@GhaleonQ:disqus Video games and music have adopted the paradigm shift much faster than television movies. This is 100% because film+tv publishers have been so successfully able to squash any attempts at the new model.

So consumers should be 'patient' and consume media on TV so the old media companies can squeeze every last drop out of an outdated system while simultaneously doing everything they can to prevent a new model from springing up?
