I tried it again after the CZ convinced me it was worth it. I couldn't make it through more than 5 minutes because the characters annoyed me.  I do think it's in part the shallowness, almost slickness, of the characters.  I just don't find anything to grab hold of or pull me in there.  (I did have the same problem

Dominick's!

I read it totally as a joke.  I think his star is only rising and he's been someone who obviously didn't have enough work for so long that he appreciates the work he does get (*ahem*, Mr. Gambino) and takes it all on.  I really don't see him retiring with two little boys to put through college.

@avclub-7fd1d5cec910c61b1864a51eb7e18cbc:disqus I love your post which begins by explaining your meaning  of unparalleled (awkward way to say that, but stupid DISQUS won't let me reply directly).  Fantastic explanation of one of the things that made Community so special and directly led to the development of this

Oh how I've missed you, story circles!

Ooh, thanks for this.  I don't actually own the S3 DVD yet (was conflicted about buying it in the wake of Harmon's firing, now giving all my spare funds to improv…will get it one of these days!), so I haven't heard the S3 bits!

I didn't say I forgave him for being a perpetual disappointment every time I hear his name and think people are talking about Joel.

I know putting 4 or 5 games in a 22-minute episode (plus the requisite introducing the stunt guest 10 times) makes this inevitable, but the games felt SO short.  Much moreso than on Improv-a-Ganza for whatever reason.  It doesn't need to be long-form or anything, but just a little longer to let them gain a little

I hate to be that person.  I REALLY hate to be that person.  But it was driving me nuts, too.  Sketch and improv really are different forms with a different philosophy behind each.

He was great.  Not only a good sport about it, which is really the #1 job of the stunt guests, but held his own pretty well. But even then, it felt weird to have him dash away while everyone was clapping for him!  Give them a chair at the side of the stage or something!

I also didn't like how they had them leave the studio each time.  Especially for the Walking Dead lady, who seemed really uncomfortable with the whole thing.  It made it look like she was just getting through it and dashing offstage.

Bill Hader-Brian Huskey ad?  Yep  They know their audience.

And with that, I forgive Kevin McHale for his involvement with Glee.

Yaaaaaaay Heather Anne Campbell!  I was missing the Improv-a-Ganza crew and she was one of my favorites.

She was by far one of my favorites on Improv-a-Ganza and I was super excited to see her in the header picture, bummer she's totally taking the back seat in this episode.

What's in the Bag?: Stupid.  STUPID.  Like not even that good a game.  But darn if it wasn't hilarious.

Wow…they really need to stop with the hashtags.

WOOHOO!
