Blade Runner is "overrated" in the same sense that Seinfeld is "overrated": Both are so landmark and influential that they seem derivative because every single thing they did was stolen and reused. Blade Runner embodies every single cyberpunk cliche because it created all the hallmarks of the genre, and any it missed

It wrapped it up too neatly, and undermines what happened moments before. Mr. Glass is supposed to be his arch-nemesis, the epilogue tells us he's immediately locked up.

His career is going to be, uh, a fascinating transition.

Unbreakable is his best, and it holds up better than Sixth Sense because it's great independent of the "twist".

The A.V. Club
literally crazy people, but they don't really *do* anything

See: Bart vs. Australia.

Just because it's a lie, that doesn't mean it's not true.

Is there a way to get out of the dungeon without using the wizard key?

I loved my Zune. Never used the service, but I could build playlists in Winamp and export them to the Zune software, it was great for making an on-the-fly playlist, it had a built-in radio, and, most importantly, you pressed up to go up, down to go down, and there was no stupid fucking wheel.

You should look up Reza Aslan's comments on Maher.

Yeah, I think religion is just the easiest for getting other people's dander up. It's harder to convince people to strap on a bomb by carefully explaining how meddling and resource exploitation by foreign powers has created regional instability.

"That's not how you murder innocent civilians, THIS is how you murder innocent civilians!"

Oh, absolutely. I just think it's an interesting thought experiment, because people tend to always think of the issue as trying to prove whether there is or isn't a god.

It's not a large scale solution, it's a personal coping mechanism. Fundamentalism helped cause the attacks, and I don't think anyone is defending fundamentalism, but there's over a billion people who pray toward Mecca and eat hallal who don't deserve to be lumped in.
