Green Befuddlement?
I think Zack's likening of the Link to a cult is perfect. Cults take advantage of the disenfranchised, the lonely, the poor, etc. and give them easy answers that make them feel good, and at the same time isolate them even further from the outside.
@avclub-0ae7484a9f3bbd2a21df420050c032ae:disqus, I am one of the people who loves Dukat, but I also acknowledge that he's a creeper. And
It didn't bother me, either, until others complained, so now I'm probably going to join them in over-thinking it and getting pissed. After all, it's what we do!
I don't mind Dax's sort of lame duck speech, though, because I think it illustrates that while she may be a competent and efficient officer, she's no Sisko.
Spoilers!
Worf is also vying for the title of "Most Ungrateful Son Ever." I hate how he treats his (adoptive) parents. Seriously, dude, do you know how difficult it was for those two people to raise a Klingon child at a time when the Klingons weren't exactly well-liked by humans? And then they get his unappreciative little…
I'll jump on board with this. Martok is the most well-written of the Klingons.
Zack's review on this episode actually makes me look forward to rewatching it later today, instead of kind of dreading it. Alexander always still annoyed me this go-around, but I'll try and give him a fair shake this time.
If there's nothing wrong with me, maybe there's something wrong with the universe!
I'm going to defend the Fair Haven episodes only because they feature the delicious Fintan McKeown.
I love that show @drdarke:disqus! It's funny when contestants don't take his advice, because they'll usually get reamed for not doing what Mr. Westmore told them.
@AmaltheaElanor:disqus, no lie, I watched it this morning while waiting for a contractor. But it was the Sandman episode, which is really a pretty cute one.
It was nothing like that, I swear! I was drinking Ovaltine!
Mind Blown!!! That's a great VOY episode, I agree.
And we haven't even met the most competent of Starfleet Admirals yet…
"made shooting "Let He Who is Without Sin" a pain in the butt."
Walking Dead did this between Seasons 2 and 3, and I thought it was quite successful.
It would seem that DS9 does, in fact, have the ability to polish a turd if they could salvage something so awesome out of such a shitty episode.
