Unpopular opinion, ahoy!

Agreed, @LurkyMcLurkerson:disqus.  I don't think Shatner has or had a problem with Takei's lifestyle.  He seems like a pretty liberal, open-minded dude.  Like you said, I'm sure Takei would make that abundantly clear were it the case.

@avclub-81f1e2cb3513ac18c77dd0159ec182c3:disqus Not the bees!!!!!

Sorry, sorry, "Code of Honor" is far worse than "Threshold."  At least the latter isn't racist.

I don't know "Breaking Amish," but I do know about "Amish Mafia" and I can tell you that those people are not Amish.  My husband actually knows the one guy.  He's Mennonite.  Big difference.  The Amish shows just piss me off in general.

@LurkyMcLurkerson:disqus you must watch TOS!  It is wonderful.  It is dated, it is campy, but it is glorious.  I know that DS9 is the best Trek, but TOS will always by my favorite, for sentimental reasons.

Playing the Weird Al card is unfair.  Dude is so likeable that I have to agree.

Why did Tuvok get sidelined?  He's awesome.  We're in early S6 and I feel as though I haven't seen him for ages.

I fully admit that I was a strange child (and am now a strange adult), but I always read that as a figure of speech.  When I was a kid, I knew what the reference was, but nobody every actually did that in the late 1980s.

I think the big difference is "A Piece of the Action" does not take itself seriously.

@avclub-d7f43e1fb2d4977c86163d9b0cb07814:disqus, that's because Chekov was adorable.  One of my first crushes (the others being Davy Jones and Mr. Lucas from Are You Being Served?  I was a strange child growing up in the 80s).

I liked how Neelix reamed out Janeway in that episode where Samantha Wildman may be dead.  Janeway wants to tell the daughter her mom is dead without proof, and Neelix rightfully balks.

You had to remind me of that midichlorian crap, didn't you?

I've not seen it in a year.  Off to Amazon for a rewatch!

I find it odd there isn't a group of Bajorans clamoring for DS9 to be turned into a memorial or somesuch.  And that all Bajorans are fine with just wandering the grounds and going to work where such atrocities were committed.

@avclub-0ae7484a9f3bbd2a21df420050c032ae:disqus, I've always thought that was weird.  Why would Starfleet have segregated ships?

Nothing justifies the existence of that film.

Yes!  The only thing I wish they'd change about "Trials and Tribble-ations" is bring back the original fight music.

Hell, even De Kelley didn't get his name in the opening credits until Season 2.

@avclub-bbb04f2a70775131fa0397bbdb4c03de:disqus, I like to think most of those Vulcans who now should be in the upper tiers were killed when the Intrepid got eaten by the space amoeba.
