@LurkyMcLurkerson:disqus, loved your posts.  Thank you.  While I think the intentions are good, I think this recent "everything should be natural" trend also has potential to be harmful.  My mother-in-law and several close friends had (or are planning on having) home births, and tried to convince me to do so as well.

@avclub-0806ebf2ee5c90a0ca0fd59eddb039f5:disqus, would Super Beta Prostate help with that secret pain?

My God, that episode makes me weep by the end.

"A Private Little War" is one of the very few unwatchable hours of Trek for me.

Man, there is just no respect for stellar cartographers!

I just have to add that I think it's ridiculous they can't use the transporter to beam the baby out of the mother's womb once she starts going into labor.  Labor is fucking painful.  You're telling me that women still have to endure it (and most of them seemingly without painkillers) hundreds of years from now?

Oh no, I love that episode.  It was the first TNG episode I ever saw, and for that reason alone, it has undeniable sentimental value.

More TOS style Klingons are needed in the TNG era, in my humble opinion.

My kingdom for When Things Were Rotten, a short-lived Mel Brooks series about Robin Hood which was far superior to Men in Tights and starred the delicious Dick Gautier as Robin.

God, I hate On the Road, and I had to read it 3 fucking times in my undergraduate career.  Dean Moriarty is a douchebag.

Speaking of Disney, they need to release Pop & Rock.  I think that's what it was called.  It was basically Elvis Presley and Motown songs, music video style.  Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, Goofy all had stories set to these songs.  It's how I learned Elvis and Motown songs in the 80s.  The only one I distinctly

SPOILERS?

It's the same guy from the genetically engineered society that Troi fell in love with, right?

In S4 of Voyager now, and so far I hate Torres and Paris.  Mainly because I despise her as a character.

My brother is starting to go through the series.  I warned him that the heroes may survive the episode, but they do so at a high cost.

Agree with @avclub-b327ac90601ec5904ca8e539cba62638:disqus.  Baltar is not the most detestable character in that show.  I do kind of feel bad for him in S1 because I think he knows he's a fuckup, and he tries to cover his tracks in order to not fuck up even more, but it just never quite works out.

He lived his life like a candle in the wind.

I wrote my master's thesis in American Studies on F-Troop.  True story.

A sea of waiters, and not one of them will take my drink order.

Interesting comparison of the two episodes.  I like it!
