this is a fine, wholly fun episode, but I have to admit that I was surprised to see it ranked as the general consensus for the show's best episode on IMDB. There's a good many other episodes that I'd think would take the spot instead.

I can think of at least 2 things wrong with that title.
As much as I enjoyed Moby Dick, the way the book will always be envisioned in my mind is remembering how David Simon compared the first chapter to your average TV show's pilot episode. That's a hell of a perfect comparison.
Lane and Pete's fist fight was more captivating than a good deal of Breaking Bad's action sequences.
Yes yes, I know it was a thing, but is it still as prevalent as it was a year or two ago?
Yeah, I know a lot of college students and even slightly younger people who watch SNL out of obligation to the Amy and Tina era, and hope to find the next one. Most of which admittedly are lesbians, since apparently every gay woman worships Amy, Tina and Kristen.
Do they still exist? All I ever hear about anymore is Destiel.
She and Amy Jo Johnson were mine.
I'm pretty sure Clarissa is the only Nick show to reference Ingmar Bergman by name, and namedrop not one, but two of his movies as well (The Seventh Seal and Persona; which is pretty special in its own right, since how many other shows reference Persona, or non-Seventh Seal Bergman films?).
It's a good thing that this is the last season, since I don't think I can take another year of this. If we have more episodes like this to look forward to for the rest of the season, I don't think I can even handle that.
Brunch and mimosas!
It's high on my to-read list. Next time I go to the comic book shop.
Is FX really afraid of airing repeats of their shows on a regular basis? Besides the most recent season, of course. It's kind of surprising to see them branch out for Sunny and Archer to get consistent repeats elsewhere instead of on their main network.
Oops, I missed the waiter reference Todd put in his bullet point… my bad!
But Don fought for the Korean War!
Aww man, no spot for "Investigative Journalism". I really do love most of these choices, but that was the episode that turned me from a casual watcher to a full believer. It was my equivalent to the show's own version of "College", "Angel", or "The Pineapple Incident"- the one that made me a fan for life.
So the show really is becoming more than just filler after New Girl?
The plastic tips at the ends of shoelaces are called aglets. Their true purpose is sinister.
The best Alfred. RIP
I don't want to go.
