Really loving these articles, and I especially love how Newhart's release was highlighted this week. It really is a fantastic sitcom, and 3's a hell of a place to start if you haven't bought the previous 2 sets yet.
Someone has to be.
I meant weakest main character
I watch it on and off. It's a hell of a show, yeah.
Gravity Falls is fantastic, yes.
I still wish Judge would just release the rest of B&B, especially if it's in a big set with a brown sleeve called "The Rest of the Crap"
I think it was because Rocko just wasn't as popular or a part of the pop culture wavelength as Ren & Stimpy. Which sounds like a weird reason, but for a while, Ren & Stimpy was EVERYWHERE, particularly as fodder for parent groups to focus on.
I got the complete series set for $20 at WalMart when it came out. Hell of a good deal.
Yep, but that changed fast. In the Cow & Chicken pilot short, which aired a year or two after Rocko started, the Red Guy actually was the devil, but when it was ready to be made as a show, the original short was banned and he became the Red Guy.
Camp Lazlo was ungodly boring for a show that was made by the creator of something as genius as Rocko. And pretty derivative, too. The characters were crosses between cliches that Ed, Edd n' Eddy and Foster's would turn down for their casts, and the stories felt like leftovers from Rocko and SpongeBob scripts that…
It's big, it's heavy, it's wood
I say we eat the beaver!
ROCKO?!
MRS. BIGHEAD?!
I've heard someone once consider Rocko's Modern Life as a cross between the Looneys and the National Film Board of Canada's shorts, and it really is.
I don't know about THAT, but seeing Dr. Saperstein reminded me that we haven't seen Jean-Ralphio or Mona Lisa in a while.
Tom is easily the weakest character still on the show, so they could probably do that with few objections.
He only did 1 scene of Movie 43
As a comic fan, it looks like a fine adaptation of the awesome 2008 run.
We need more mellow Leslie. That was the best she had been on the show in what seems like ages.
