Kathy Bates?

From what I've been reading, it's not just Randy that's leaving Idol. ALL the judges are being let go, and the show's being retooled.

Man, I love this episode.

Yeahhh. I was expecting it, since Ted revealed that he and Barney would feud for Robin or something last season, but I really wish they'd just drop this aspect of the show.

Huh, I enjoyed this one for the most part.

I dunno, I really enjoyed this one. If anything, it feels like a necessary calm to the storm that will be the actual wedding.

Ny vote goes to Heaven and Hell's The Devil You Know. I don't think Ronnie planned it to be their last, but it sure works as a send-off to one of the greatest vocalists heavy metal has ever seen.

Okay, ToddintheShadows is wrong. This Janelle Monae thing is probably going to happen after all.

Fair enough.

Honestly, I thought they tried way too hard, especially with the first act.

This album has been in nonstop rotation since I got it on Saturday. I can't tell if I like it as much as the first, but it's definitely among the best of the year

Oh man, I missed this series. Glad to see it back!

I feel like Steve Harris and Chuck Schuldiner are the most cliche examples of lyricism in metal music, but cliches exist for a reason. Whenever I hear or read arguments that heavy metal music is uncultured or moronic, I just feel like playing a song or two written by these guys, or Paul Masvidal, for example, to prove

I saw this on tumblr long ago. Still gold.

Hanna-Barbera metal?

Ken Levine once wrote that NBC could air repeats of M*A*S*H on primetime, and those would get better ratings than any of their own shows. Maybe that's the way to go.

Also, is my Fellini rusty, or did they attempt a La Dolce Vita tribute in the black and white scenes?

I called that Lily would end up taking the job after she turned it down the first time. That's just television convention.

It's funny, Phyllis was probably the least developed character of Mary Tyler Moore, if only based on lack of appearances. Even the show's lesser characters like Murray and Georgette were able to get a lot more to do by the end of the show's run, while Phyllis herself showed up less and less in MTM before moving onto

Seriously though, I've only seen the pilot of Lou Grant, but I loved it, and I'm deeply curious to see how the rest of the show holds up.
