I think Homer might be best as a supporting player. Seeing him through another character's POV just makes him even more ridiculous and hilarious.

THAT's Sean O'Neal? Which one is the one where two chicks wail on each other?
Ditto. Homer as a murderous jerk just really upset me as a kid. He's allowed to be an awful jerkass when he's a buffoon but here they don't really give you much relief. I still don't think I'm enjoying The Shinning as much as I should be. He's so loveable in "Time and Punishment" that I got over it though.

Network note: "Could we maybe get an Asian looking disgusted in the background." Yeah that totally makes it ok. I mean I laughed. But it certainly doesn't justify it just by having someone looking disappointed. The "pan to affronted minority" has to be my least favorite…
Wasn't the whole Sabre thing supposed to address that? I mean printers are dead now too, but they weren't as obviously dead back then.
Michael was so confused, and then so happy.
"I got you a mustache. I hope you like it."
I don't want to sound pretentious here, but Itchy and Scratchy comprise a dramaturgical dyad!
Outstanding work. Hahahahahaha.
Something something about Kristen Chenoweth's corpse at her feet.
I think this is the comment section I want to hang out in this summer. This is a Summer TV Club show right?
At the Spanish mass I went to when I was a kid, the Lord's Prayer was sung to the tune of "The Sound of Silence," which made the mariachi band playing it seem like the ultimate payoff.
@avclub-e53fc2424af041d07a7eef5cd8773505:disqus Yeah that was definitely the "going there". I didn't catch that. Good one.
@avclub-daeea03756fb26640b2c12493f0b08d5:disqus …great American scallops?
It's up to you, New-port, New-port.
Also I think anyone considering an Arab Spring has the Arab Spring to look to as discouragement.
"We can't make a movie without a star! Why are there no Iranian stars? Because we can't make a movie without a star!"
I don't think America is in an objective enough position to actually portray the Islamic world with nuance. It's either caricature or maudlin. One exception was The Hurt Locker. That scene with Jeremy Renner in that guy's house was very well done.
