I would argue that he has gotten rich by writing very complex stories that are not easily spat out like a Super Sized Number 2 Value Meal.

Actually three prequel stories have already been written and they are very good. I always imagine the novellas working best as cartoons like the Last Air Bender. Aang = Egg.
