Agreed on the Bowie concert video (third DVD I bought, using thirty of the last fifty dollars in my checking account. Oh college). And I'll say, mark ronson plays one mean guitar for a guy who, from the look of it, died a few weeks before the concert was filmed.

Let's leave interest in Jess Franco up to the orson welleses of the world, shall we?

Agreed. Cannibal corpse would be at the top of my list. "mummified in barbed wire" is a bit of a mouthful, but "hammer smashed face" just gets right to the point. Of course, their aesthetic doesn't get a much purer expression than "fucked with a knife."

I think the x-men have been doing the same thing for about nine hundred issues at this point, but that doesn't mean that there's no room for more x-men stories. Serialization is a part of the comic book form, and while dc is obviously looking for profit, it would be nice to think that we're at a point where we can

Alan Moore wouldn't do a follow up to watchmen, with good reason, so arguing that the new lineup is inferior to Moore isn't really an argument. Watchmen was a serialized comic book produced by a large publisher, and a publisher's willingness to extend a comic book series for profit is literally endless. That's how the
