"Great job, Internet!"
"Great job, Internet!"
Something something something Rosamund Pike.
Exactly— and it wasn't a knock against Moon. I just think Jones was a perfectly good fit for the songs on those two albums.
Pete's songwriting was fine, he was just writing better solo songs than Who songs.
I think the sing-speak style Roger adopted for much of Face Dances is what I have the most problem with. It's just… odd.
I'm kind of surprised "Athena" has all but disappeared in terms of Who compilations the last couple decades. It was a pretty big radio hit at the time it was released.
Summiting with "Tomorrow Never Knows."
Phil Collins has a pretty distinctive sound as a drummer, I think.
Clearly they put five of the mics on his snare.
His drumming on "Cry If You Want," "The Quiet One" and "Athena" was plenty energetic, and way more precise than Moon ever would have been capable of.
I think Kenney Jones did a fine job on his two Who albums. Though he sure does love his snare for fills.
"905" is brilliant and won't hear any arguments to the contrary.
Anyone else notice how the intro for "Don't Let Go The Coat" was stolen note for note by Indigo Girls' on "Tried To Be True"?
I probably listened to It's Hard more than Face Dances back in the mid-to-late '80s (I really disliked Roger's sing-speak vocals on Face Dances at the time, and "One Life's Enough" and "Cry If You Want" from It's Hard are fucking awesome), but I now think the latter is the better album in terms of the overall…
I… don't understand. This seems right. Why are they apologizing?
Giga, please…
Pronoun trouble…
That is a good point. It's the ONLY point when talking about the destruction in Man of Steel. I don't understand why everyone is always up Superman's ass about this.
Countful.
I'm pretty sure they landed on The Kennedy Center, Watergate complex, and Saudi embassy. Possibly the Georgetown waterfront. Even if they DID miss land and splash into the Potomac, the impact would cause substantial damage to the buildings along Rock Creek Parkway.
