If it's based on a novel, is it really a biopic?

Clinton won the people who cared most about the economy. Trump won the people who cared most about immigration. Clinton won the poorest segment of voters. I don't know if Trump outright won the richest, but he certainly had his fair share.

I agree with you, I just think he's expressing himself somewhat poorly. And possibly indulging in some Monday-morning QB'ing.

Yeah, but have you seen us? We mostly suck. Not a ringing endorsement.

In Toronto, the cabs are overpriced and often driven by terrible drivers. The city made the mistake more than a decade ago of issuing too many licenses, so that a lot of the good ones were driven (so to speak) out of the business.

Trump absolutely cares what the press is saying about him. It's one of only about 4 things he does care about. Can't say whether the public cares or not. It's quite certain Republicans in Congress don't give a fuck.

It's not any less silly, and in fact Leo's private jet makes it very difficult to take him all that seriously on the environment.

There's a feature article out today about Trump's conflicts of interest. This is a shiny thing to distract us.

Is it really?

Yes, you're right, that is what the author was saying. I read that too quickly. For a long time the US liked to pretend it didn't have class stratifications, and when income inequality became a topic of discussion post-2008, there was of course screaming from the right about class warfare and job creators and so

Ignatiy is a treasure.

It's the after the Inauguration part that's the issue, actually, but I agree the story's been poorly reported. The Women's March were fifth in line to ask for permits, so even if the area weren't being blocked off they probably still wouldn't have got one.

Oh my god that review was amazing. I laughed until I cried.

Upvoted for "waddle-scurries."

Okay, having read it, I disagree with a good deal of that. For one, I don't think she's right to say that intersectionality ignores issues of class. For two, while she's right that the media distorted what Sanders said during that much-reported discussion, it doesn't change the fact that he came at the question from

Agreed on the women's clothing. Pretty much the only time women have looked good in his clothes is when they're pole dancing for his movies - Julianne Moore looks way better in his stuff than almost anything else she wears, and he put a great red dress on Amy Adams recently.

I was hesitant to mention these guys here for fear our few trolls would report them, but Breitbart's found them anyway, so here's a small bit of hope: Sleeping Giants (https://twitter.com/slpng_g… is helping companies steer their Google ad buys away from Brietbart and hate-filled news generally.

I'll be interested to read that when I get a chance. Does the author offer any proof that Sanders understands intersectionality? There's been little indication of it in any of the things I've read, but I'm happy to be proven wrong.
