The dad on Phineas and Ferb is Riff Raff. Nuff said.

3D usually gives me a headache after a while, so I avoid it as much as possible. This one looks like it might be worth the eyestrain; it's not like I have any other way of seeing these paintings 'live.'

Well, now I'm depressed. On the upside we can all be pretty sure that no one's making up Sheen's current behavior.

I think "High and Low" is still on Watch Instant on Netflix.

I loved Tour of Duty. Never got around to seeing China Beach, but it's my understanding it's a music rights thing, again. I can't quite figure out why so many music rightsholders prefer nothing to something.

Page 2, I think? I watched a lot of the 'mystery' shows—Matlock, Murder She Wrote, Magnum. Moonlighting and Max Headroom, though, were must-see TV. I'm not sure I missed an episode of either.

The NPR article was focused pretty tightly on one community in Nashville, it's about a program that helps women recover from addiction, get job skills, etc. I'm not sure legalization makes much of a difference, from what I've read, but almost everyone who addresses the issue has a pro- or con- agenda.

Thanks, Noel. It is, as you say, good that he doesn't ignore it. Yesterday's article was pretty brutal.

I can never listen to "Jeopardy" without wanting the Don Pardo monologue. "That's right, Al, you lost!"

I confess I always preferred Dykes to Watch Out For, I don't remember Wendell well at all.

There was a segment on NPR yesterday about sending guys caught with prostitutes to "John School," where they found out what a prostitute's life was actually like. Hard to separate those women and their stories of drug addiction and sexual abuse from this review.

Tokyopop may hold on to the licenses for a few things I want to keep reading. I'm not sure if I should aim my resentment at them, Borders for not paying them, or split it 50/50.

Yeah. It was never a great series, but it was fun and the themes were good. But eventually they just started flailing around.

If you've ever had sex with a woman, or have been a woman, his books do not age well, IMO.

Yeah, "Combat Rock" was a disappointment, but I still love side one.

I'm with Chuckee. I also think that if they'd known the show was ending with 5 they probably would've made it less, er, suicide-y. (Which might have been worse, too, but those are my thoughts.)

Heroes' inability to kill anyone vaguely popular just speaks to the fact that they managed to learn everything bad from comic books without grabbing much of the good stuff in terms of storylines, pacing, etc.

The one where they went on a trip and Patsy and Edina got tremendously high on 'cocaine' (turned out to be baking soda) had some tremendous physical comedy.

I figure that will be 'cult figure trying to hold on to stardom' week.

I thought she was a fantastic Pepper.
