Connor on "Angel"
The Connor storyline gets a ton of shit, but I've always loved it, probably because I was going through my own first days as a parent right around the time Angel was, and I've never seen anything that adequately the balanced joy, unreasonable hope, and terror of early parenting in quite the same way.

My husband worked for a couple of years as a closer at a gas station, and about halfway through "Clerks", he turned to me and said, "wow, this is hitting way too close to home." I used to hang out there some doing homework (ah, college years) before the place closed, and I said "it totally is."

Yeah, there are a lot of criticisms to be made of that movie, but there's not much else that better captures that drifting, depressed state.

And now you know the rest of the story.

I saw a woman wearing one of the Venture Bros. limited edition t-shirts yesterday and was half-tempted to run out of the store I was in and greet her as a long-lost friend.

"The Body" is just excellent. And I liked "Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption" a lot too.

"Under the Bridge" reminds me of being horribly depressed right after I got dumped in high school. Still won't listen to it if I can avoid it.

They're building on the dancing from the last movie.

It's excellent.

Qui-Gon Jinn is a space hippy. He's the only easy one.

It's very confusing, but I still enjoyed it. I just sort of rolled with the ending— I figured part of the conceit was that the characters themselves were starting to get confused.

I can't believe it's been three years! I'm glad it'll still keep going in some form.

It has a pretty huge fanbase. The Ember Island Players episode included some mostly affectionate nods to the fans (including the question of whether one character really was dead).

Is it a coincidence
That it's the weekend "The Last Airbender" and "Eclipse" come out?

Flocked wallpaper!

Oooh, yeah, I remember him.

I watched this show in syndication when I was a kid.
It's how I learned what the word 'hooker' meant. Sometimes I worry that with so much kid-targeted TV around, my own child won't learn these important life lessons.

This.

I think he recognizes all their flaws but has a soft spot for them anyway. Except maybe Lugar.

Deitrich is my favorite, followed pretty closely by Nick and his terrible coffee. It's much harder to like Wojo than it used to be.
