Rest in peace, Jon. You will be missed.
I'm a big fan of the Charlatans and had the good fortune to meet the band, including Jon, backstage in Amsterdam back in 1998. He was a wonderful person, kind and friendly, and I specifically remember him taking the time to actually talk to me.

Mrs. Crimbo and I literally just finished watching it, although I'm not sure semi-legal downloads from Europe are counted in the Nielsen ratings, are they?
N.B. these two statements are in no way linked. And I might have used the term 'semi-legal' rather loosely.

I was turned on to the Civil Wars by their song on the 'Hunger Games' OST. Really loved Barton Hollow and the 'Live at Eddie's Attic' live album, and was disappointed when I found out they had a falling out. Great to hear that there's still some new material coming out. Definitely curious about that 'Disarm' cover.

@jerodast:disqus No, that would be Coach and mrs. Coach.

My wife and I are most definitely contemplating visiting Warracknabeal if we ever go to Australia. But yeah, I just checked it with Google Streetview… and that's probably enough to give me the whole experience right here. Looks about as much fun as Holbrook was.

I'm confused now… Is that the 'grass' you bought from the drug dealer, or the grass you plucked from the Knoll?

Pop-pilgrimages are pretty much part and parcel of every trip Mrs Crimbo and I make.
Examples are a trip through a couple of the Southern states (including visits to Graceland and Sun Studio), a trip through Scotland (including a visit to Doune Castle, where Monty Python and the Holy Grail was filmed) and a stop for

I have yet to watch this episode, but all in all, I had a great time watching this first season.

Too Veronica, Too Mars

Your what now?

I think it is said in the movie that they were able to reroute some planes to other airports. Also, all communications between the airport and the planes were scrambled / intercepted / take over by the terrorists (hence the 'flight control centre' in the church). The pilots just weren't aware of the circumstances on

Wasn't there something about the walkie-talkies used by Gruber's guys being on a scrambled / encoded frequency?

Living in Europe, I have the barest bones knowledge of American Football, and my wife even less. Besides that, it's a show that never made it to our shores due to the US-centric subject material.
However, we started to watch this a couple of weeks ago (based on Connie Britton's appearing in this), and we absolutely

I saw Flight of the Navigator in the movie theater back when it came out… Never gave any thought to the fact that the kid was gone for EIGHT YEARS. But now you mention it… His parents must have freaked out…

I only watched this episode yesterday, so excuse this late comment. I actually liked the way they showed someone taking a picture of the couple from outside the window (not a paparazzi but obviously just a tourist)… It almost looked non-scripted.

Your wish is the State Department's command… "NO"

Yup, jobs like that have a distinct advantage.
Me, I wouldn't even know where to get mediocre or crappy heroin (not since Perron 0 shut down).
