'Balls Deep in Love'
I haven't watched The Cleveland Show that much, but I caught this one I got a real kick out of the whole Balls Deep sequence. I'm not even too sure why. It seemed like the music, lyrics and animation worked well together, and unlike most of Family Guy's musical numbers, it was pretty understated.

Apparently, healthtronics@gmail.com pertains to Jason's self improvement program. Google led me to this interview:

Yeah, I could have chosen at least 2 records this decade from each of these artists. I figure the reason they don't get mentioned on these lists more is that they haven't defined the era or started larger trends the way groups like Animal Collective and The White Stripes have. That's unfortunate.

You oughta consider it a miracle if you were able to drive that route for any length of time avoiding the all-encompassing whirlpool of suck known as O.A.R.

I think that Rockin' the Suburbs (the song) holds up about as well as any Weird Al song. The album itself sounds pretty modern to me, thanks, I guess, to its overproduction. (Folds tracked all the parts himself.)

Hadn't seen these mentioned yet
My musical tastes differ from many here, I think (most of my favorite albums didn't make the list). Still— and in vain— I'm gonna nominate a handful I think could have been considered:

You will come to see the folly of your youth, V-Girl, not when you outlive it, but when your Dirty Projectors and your internet initialisms and your Dollhouse-inspired remote wiping destroy us all.

I'll second that. Honestly, I can't get into a lot of hip-hop, but I still put on Lucy Ford from time to time. It definitely holds up.

I've got maybe 10, but I can't say I listen to them all that much. Maybe we're just out of touch.

It just jumped 100 comments in the time it took me to read the blurbs.

Was Yes Men good, Charles? I heard it was.

How long before the widow is fair game? I mean, I'll refrain awhile out of respect for J., but I'd really like to make a move while her judgment is still clouded by grief…

The audio quality
of this week's podcast is great. Did you use the same recording setup as usual?

Yes and no. Wait, just yes.

Clearly he's just a consultant or the public face of this thing. Think about it: Dreyfuss gets brought in to spin shit about civics and education so John Q. Public will crack open his wallet— ah, but where is the money ultimately spent? You guessed it: capturing vampires, demons and other sub-terrestrials for the

Yeah, All Things Must Pass is probably his most overtly religious album, despite the inclusion of a couple Dylan songs, the obligatory jams on side 5 and 6, and a few others tracks, like Apple Scruffs (which is what the Beatles called their groupies). Still, there was room for My Sweet Lord, Beware of Darkness, Isn't

and *a* bloody-flux capacitor

I'm pretty sure there's a story about Paul and bloody-flux capacitor somewhere in Acts.

'Walking on a Thin Line' is a morality play, 'Trouble in Paradise' is a meditation on Original Sin, and 'If This is It' is about… a coy Jesus playing hard to get?

GeoGreg: It's not quite so magical as that. The autotune plugin does move selected audio to preset pitches, but it just plain sucks on acoustic instruments.
