I love that the director of Squirm went on IMDB & ranted about their treatment of his film. If you can find it, it's some good readin'!

Yeah, man, Laserblast is really a fine episode. The turtle aliens, the hick stoner cops, the arm-bong laser-blaster, Roddy McDowell, the extremely unappealing lead, Eddie Deezen… jesus, there was just so much to work with in that film! For me, Season 7 is, start to finish, one of their finest runs of episodes.

sounds neat, but the last time i caught the flaming lips in NYC everyone around us was much more concerned with talking loudly about their day at work / social lives than paying attention to the man emerging from a giant light-up vagina in a human-sized hamster ball while absurd amounts of confetti were being blasted

I probably watched a little more than half of Lucy's run & just couldn't get into it. As a die-hard Home Movies fan at the time, I kept hoping there'd be an episode that "clicked" for me, but it never happened. I tried re-watching it a few years later & still wasn't able to enjoy it as much as I hoped I would. Ah well…

I seem to recall someone on the commentaries for the first season saying that UPN only ordered 6 episodes at the time (choosing to air 5 before pulling it) & [as] ordered an additional 7 to bring the whole thing up to 13 episodes… it's been a while since I listened to them, so my memory could be totally full of shit.

I was living in Vermont when TWBB was released & it took over 2 months to eventually make its way to the Burlington "art house" theater…

I saw it at BAM a few months ago - I'm glad that Gremlins 2 is finally being considered a "midnight movie" worthy of being screened again in theaters & not a "lame sequel" like it was for so long after its release.
