And so it goes.

"Old man, take a look at my life; I'm a lot like you."
Mitya Karamazov

Um, yes I saw the movie. I just didn't get why Scott and so many others here seemed to be offended by it- I thought it was just another mediocre to bad movie.

Thanks for the quotejob Wolfman- the ny times can be so hard to find on the internet.
Anyone else think Scott's review was a little over the top. Sure, this is a bad and overly cute movie, but Scott had me thinking that this movie is the root of all evil. I don't know, the movie seemed harmless to me.

Alexi Murdoch…
…the poor man's Nick Drake.

You won't hang on very long.

My favorite funny Dylan is Clothes Line Saga off of The Basement Tapes.

Most underrated album?
I'd have to go with Nashville Skyline.

I'm partial to Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues- particularly the Royal Albert Hall recording. Then again, it's hard to argue with Desolation Row.

No doubt Bucky. Dylan's batting average through Blood on the Tracks (I'd stretch it to Desire) was pretty obscene. My point is that from 97 on he hasn't been living off his lifetime pass- the guy is churning out quality stuff. Hell, I even enjoyed the prose in Chronicles.

Shakespeare and Beethoven too.

Together Through Life, Best Dylan Album Ever?
Top 30, at least.

Vivisfugue, I am putting myself to the fullest possible use, which is all I think that any conscious entity can ever hope to do.

That sounds filthy.

For the money.

You know why women used to get married, don't you?

My name is Sandor Szavost.
I'm Hungarian.

I just rewatched Winter Light- it's definitely top tier Bergman. There are two very interesting and complex characters. Marta does declare that God doesn't exist. But almost in the same sentence she describes one time when she prayed with sincerity and her prayers were answered. At the end of the film she prays, "If

I am one such person, GhaleonQ. I assume you chose your words carefully and I agree- there's a huge distinction between the questions of God and the questions of religion. I think about religion constantly and I'm always reading the Bible, studying the Talmud and other religious literature. But I stopped struggling
