Nicktoons, Batman, Samurai Jack are all awesome suggestions, and to round out a survey of influential shows on modern animation, you can't leave out Space Ghost: Coast To Coast. Only half-animated, but it essentially spawned an entire genre of TV. Suggested episode: "Kentucky Nightmare"

"Scott Tenorman" is possibly the best overall episode, but I would go with "Butter's Very Own Episode", which is both an excellent example of one of their "issue" shows, and a spotlight for one of the show's best characters.

If you're up to it…
Wonder Showzen - "Patience"

Except that the moment you saw dude give Will a shiny new bike just like a good father figure, and everything was perfect in their relationship, you keep following him to the next day, as he goes about his morning routine…which leads to a "surprsing" death pretty much every time. The fact he's too good of an actor to

Already stupid and pointless
I decided I was going to hate this show two minutes in, when I saw Will hop over the number 13 in the parking lot on his way to work. This is going to be the dumbest, most cliched conspiracy ever.
"There's a pattern in the crosswords!"
"Knight to Bishop e7!"
Really?
Any bets on whether

The Room
I agree the "theater full of derisive laughter" experience is a little offputting. That's why I watched The Room on my laptop on an Internet rip. You don't need the crowd; it really is mind-blowing. Highly recommended.

Oliver Platt is always right
The biggest key to enjoying this film is keeping this is mind: Oliver Platt is always right, but every other character keeps shitting on him, especially Chiwietel Ejiofor, who nearly destroys humanities last hope but is still hailed as a hero. Everyone in this movie except Oliver Platt is

But cringe inducing humor is still funny. What, we're going to judge a dark comedy as a failure for stinging too much? You're all pussies, D'Angelo included.

And yet
"The Office", at least UK or early US, is very unstylized; if it's not wholly realistic, it is aiming for realism. The comedy is from stupid people doing terrible things and hurting each other, and people aere hurt, and it is funny.
I liked Greenberg, even if not all of it worked, and I loved an earlier

Really a haiku.

And the quote-fest inevitably begins…
SOMEBODY HAS TO POINT OUT THE IRONY

Liar
There isn't a Barnes and Noble on Sunset and Vine It's a Borders.

This isn't really a game
"While so many other games straddle the uncanny valley to make onscreen characters look uncomfortably real, Heavy Rain's sublime acting and conceit of omniscience probes interesting new territory by pointing out how truly mechanical we all are, constantly weighing the pros and cons of every

I haven't read PO, I just need to point out…the fact that you feel the need to clarify that you weren't trying to claim your comment was the 0.75st comment posted…means this thing has gotten WAY out of hand. Why would anyone ever assume that you were trying to do some impossible thing? All of you people need to stop

Weird
Yesterday I was listening to "Get What You Give" by the New Radicals for the first time in about five years. Still a great song.

Better at AV Talk
Having listened to a few of these, Scott and Tasha are the best at AV Talk. Solid voices, less pauses and "um"s, more fully formed thoughts and coherent spoken arguments than Nathan, Keith, Josh etc. That's probably what's making "The Tooth Fairy" talk entertaining at all.

What?
What?

Hmm…
Jon Benjamin - hilarious
Frisky Dingo - annoying.

House of the Devil
Canonical? You're not jumping the gun on that one just a tad?

For some reason, I believe 7 of these things. I do not think you were in 3 (3!) pistol duels, though; what is that, 1 in 8 odds of surviving 3 straight?
