"Lots of sharp one-liners"
The story of this season of 30 Rock has so far been iffy, poorly structured episodes saved by 10 or 20 hilarious quotes. Which still makes it appointment TV, but something is being lost,

Krautrock:
Possible gateway—-Faust IV. Short and song focused, but with all the sonic playfulness of the scene.
Next Step—-Can, Ege Bamyasi. Neu! 2. Then branch softer with Cluster or Harmonia, or harder with Amon Duul II or Nektar. And though it doesn't really fit with the sounds of their contemporaries, can't go

Bands
I guess this is like Primer, but for less obvious/geekier subjects (French New Wave instead of Steven Spielberg).
Here are some bands that could have entire Gateways dedicated to them:

I'd vote for "I've got more rhymes than JD's got Salinger".

Foxy redheaded physical comediennes
Is Tea Leoni a redhead?
Is Lucille Ball foxy?

This writer is a whiny brat
I've never had one of my film scripts produced, but I have written theater productions. Even in the more writer-centric world of theater, my vision wasn't there on stage 100%. It gets filtered by actors, and the director, and the tech crew, and even the reaction of the audience watching it.

Arrested Development
I've never met someone who watched Arrested Development and didn't think it was incredibly funny. I'm not sure such a person exists.

Thanks for all these tips. I always feel like I should dive in with a new British show, and give it another chance, but I'm always disappointed. But maybe I'll try again.

As an avowed Pet Sounds booster…I understand to a degree why people are turned off. You have to have a little tolerance for earnest, unironic sentiment. And for a "rock" record, nothing rocks about it.
I think it's a record you have to let in, before it can work it's magic.

Autechre is not industrial.

@nukethewhalesagain…You are totally right. Again, it might be worth skipping the more formulaic first season though.

British Comedy
On another front…I don't think Monty Python is funny at all.
I tried watching Spaced the other day, couldn't get through the first episode.
Mr. Bean made me want to bang my head against a wall.
I watched some of the British Office back before the American one debuted, and was bored. Then I started to love

I've tried getting into Noel Murray, and lots of people I respect like him. But it's not for me.

^——sarcasm.

Venture Brothers
You're basically all wrong, but I only feel like I need to correct the record on the Venture Brothers, which Genevieve just skimmed past. OK, Aqua Teen, Tim & Eric, most of the Adult Swim originals are low on 3D characters and storytelling, and if that's what makes good TV for you, I get the hate.

How dare you! HOW DARE YOU!

I suggest you avoid obscenity and false advertising by adding the Cox and Combes Washington song, which fucking rules.

Hey, Wait a Minute…
61-63. The Blind Robins, "That Goddamn Herbert Hoover" / "We'd Like To Thank You, Herbert Hoover" from the Annie soundtrack

Someone was eventually going to do this..
They call him ginger balls!
