My understanding is that Warner Animation has prescribed very tight running time restrictions for their direct to DVD movies that Bruce Timm and his team are bound by. The DC Spotlight shorts were actually there way to give buyers a little more without violating that edict.

The episode was recorded when this all happened back in late-June, early-July, so its not like he's dredging it back up. It was also brought up to mock Matt Mira for feeling hurt by someone mocking his physical appearance as he mocks someone else.

I've always interpreted it as Cordelia being gone after the end of Season 3 and only reappearing for her season 5 cameo. I'm not sure that is canon (and its quite possible canon contradicts this), but that's always been my read.

That is not the proof you think it is as Maron banks his episodes, too. Its not ancient, but it was obviously a tad dated given the topical discussion. Even beyond the topic, they made several other references to taping in what must have been June.

I liked the first episode of Indoor Kids with Steve Agee, but I wasn't entirely convinced I'd want to listen to it all of the time so I've been holding off on sampling it again until they have a guest I like. I didn't get a sense for how they'd sustain the show as it felt like they said everything they had to say in

So Sutter is the most naive person in Hollywood. That's impressive, as I've no doubt he has fierce competition from a lot of wide-eyed newcomers, but that's all one can deduce from his reasoning that AMC would have gladly spent money one place if they could have saved it another. If Mad Men capitulated, AMC *STILL*

Nerdist Late Show
I actually liked how all-over the map the Nerdist SDCC show was. For those of us who listed to podcasts in chunks, I didn't mind the very different segments of the show. The second half ends up almost entirely devoted to the Rifftrax trio and as an MST3K fan, I thoroughly enjoyed hearing them talk

I'm with you on McCartney II. I discovered it on Cassette Tape in the neglected audio section of my local library when I was a kid and loved it. Eventually bought the album on vinyl. As much as I love Waterfalls, "On the Way" is easily my favorite track from the album.

In fairness to Mr. Mira, the comments that upset him were made not by an AVClub commentator but by a well-known troll who spends an inordinate amount of his life typing horribly things about fat people as internet comments. He was also the same individual who then pretended to be a well-meaning fan who brought it to

The cover-up was always pretty thin, though. At worst, they didn't participate in their own prosecution. The issue was that these were not criminal proceedings but a military and academic tribunal so they were held to a higher standard. Expulsion from Star Fleet is the appropriate outcome from the situation they found

SportsDome is genuinely one of the funniest things I've seen on TV ever. Its not just a pitch perfect satire of TV sports, but some of the biting gags tearing into misogyny are infinitely more brutal than anything else on TV right now. I'll be sorry to see it go if cancels it.

Memorial Drive Street Festival
Its not like I don't expect the show to utterly abuse Boston geography, but sometimes they get specifically impossible enough to make me wince. Olivia referenced a "street festival" on Memorial Drive in this episode which is all kinds of silly. You might have a festival next to Memorial

Dave Foley's Podcast Tour
Not that I expect to listen to it often, but Dave Foley's appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience was a must-listen from this past week. While I'd say it didn't have the emotional vulnerability of his WTF appearance, it definitely showcased the intimacy of two friends reconnecting and fitting

Seriously.

A damn shame
Really enjoyed the Justice League shows that McDuffie had such a strong influence on. Just awful that he died so young.

He had already been in Anchorman and Bruce Almighty and anticipation for 40-year Old Virgin is a major reason The Office got picked up after its 6-episode first season the spring before the film came out. I'd say Lieberstein's characterization is reasonable.

Also worth noting that Ansari is NOT Sri Lankan. He is ethnically Tamil, like MIA, but the Tamil people come from both India and Sri Lanka and Ansari's family hails from India.

Pudi is half-Polish and half-Indian. Abed is actually half-Polish, half Palestinian.

You rather completely miss the point of those who suggest the film is a hoax. The issue is not the footage of Thierry filming street artists 10 years ago. I never really suspected any of that was made up and I'm not sure who but the most reflexively cynical would. If you thought that was the narrative thrust of the

On my broadcast, he said he doesn't do a "Marlon". While the gag was predictable, calling him "Marlon" redeemed it as it seemed like something the character might say.
