So, it wasn't just me, then?
What the heck was with Gokey. Ryan seemed frightened of him the whole time. He *really* seemed on something there.

I think it does denote gender (which, I got right without trying). I just go with whatever spell check doesn't scream at me about.

I shouldn't have been that surprised. After I made the joke, her response was all "Oh my god, did she die?" and I had to restate the punch-line. So naturally, I'd need to restate the joke and punchline when reality decided to give my bad joke a shout out. Which was just sad on my part, really.

Dang it. I was going to cash it in in Tennessee, too.

There is a difference between campaigning for your film and campaigning against another film. I wouldn't have an issue with him sending out an email encouraging people to vote for his film. I'd expect him to do that. Telling voters to game the new system, though, doesn't sit well with me. These kinds of voting systems

Dear Smurfs Producers:
Jason Lee didn't make me want to go see the Alvin & the Chipmunks movie. Thank you.

Evil Twins
I joked with my fiancee that they would reveal that Crystal had died but was being replaced by her evil twin Cristal.

Failed Firsties
Is it bad that I always miss my chance at Firsties by actually reading the article? I get to the bottom and see no comments but I know I've already missed my opportunity. Le sigh.

Obligatory Poorly Photoshoped Actor
I know Krasinski's getting a lot of "Wah?" reaction, but I think he looks the part better than most would think. He's got tons of screen presence and he fit the era of Leatherheads like a glove so I think he could do World War II era fine and bring that into the inevitable Avengers

Well noted. The site screams "Hey, I can do that," while I scream back "Actually, no. You can not."

I know EMI calimed "In the Attic" was essential R.E.M., but it pales in comparison to Dead Letter Office. While its great that it includes their "Dream…" cover and the "Last Date" cover, its mostly a double dip on B-Sides with interesting live tracks. Is a nice collection if you're a fan, but the bonus disc to "In

Naked Baby Photos and Push the Barman
Admittedly, my taste in music is not as diverse as most, but being the type to collect everything from a band I like, I get to experience a lot of rarity collections. While far from perfect, I think the offerings from Ben Folds Five and Belle & Sebastian are quite worthwhile.

I think Principal and the Pauper gets a bit of a bad rap and I wish it got more Meta jokes. I think its actually only managed one in-continuity reference where Lisa rebukes Skinner's chiding by calling him Princpal Tamzarian which was awesome. But, yeah, most of the powers that be want to pretend it never happened.

For the record the "I'd rape that 100" was actually mocking an actual Playboy vomit-inducing article "10 Conservative Women I'd Hate F***" primarily.

"Everything is… good."
Ann's talking head about Mark has to be one of the most subtly heartbreaking things I've ever seen. Rashida Jones is so well suited to this genre of comedy. I loved her in The Office and she's just killing with this. The moment when she drops the smile ever so slightly and glances away from the

Actually, its a lot simpler than all that. The TML crew all graduated college in 2000 and moved the NYC. It can be presumed that Ted either got his Master's in 2 years as he did Major in Architecture. We'll ignore, for the moment, the fact that their college doesn't have an Architecture program. That would give Ted

OMG! I heard that on the radio at some point and I thought it was a joke. Like, it was so obvious it seemed like it must be ironic or a parody of that kind of band doing that kind of cover. Is it actually popular? That's sad.

The whole reason Caroline, Tony, and Priya were holding fort in the Dollhouse was so they weren't impacted by the Pulse. Echo references some of them having too much to lose being reset. While the camera work implied Priya as the purpose, there is no reason to think that Ballard wasn't just as much a part of that. If

Its really hard to take a complaint about a verbal suckerpunch seriously when its on your own show and you're holding a microphone with which to respond. Its even more difficult to take seriously since as I recall, Jay took a low blow at Kimmel first when he dismissed Kimmel's invitation to come on his show.

Everybody Hurts
Jimmy Kimmel responded to Leno on his show last night and it was pretty devastating. He then condensed the interview with REM's "Everybody Hurts" as the soundtrack. Which, I'm now convinced, is the only way to watch Leno's Oprah interview.
