Gabara is just a device whereby Ichiro learns to stand up to bullies.  In a way, don't we all have a Gabara in our lives?

No offense to Mrs. Zulkey but I feel that she has mistakenly identified that which is "genuine" and "unguarded" as that which is "saccharine".

I'd like to give him a knuckle sandwich even though Mr. Rogers wouldn't want me to.

I'd frame that and put it in a place of honor above my mantle if I were you.

Reminds me of that passage from the Diamond Sutra.  "like a flash of lightning in a summer cloud, a bubble in a stream, a drop of dew, a flickering lamp, an illusion, a phantom a dream."  Mr. Rogers may have been a Presbyterian but he was a Zen master as well.

Amen.  His passing was one of very few celebrity deaths to deeply and genuinely sadden me.

Three or four other people have posted it below but I'm STILL going to link to Mr. Rogers testifying before congress:  http://www.youtube.com/watc…

The "how crayons are made" segment was awesome, but it can't compare to the "how flashlights are made" bit.

Was 3 the one with the Home Alone kid, the gangsters, and the high top fade lady with the nunchucks?  That was not good.

Original Phantasm still holds up as creepy 70s spookiness but man oh man does the series fall off of a cliff after that.

I would like for Stuart to host a weekly podcast on b-grade horror movies.  He obviously knows a great deal about Phantasm, Invisible Maniac, etc.

Stuart: "Ah, yes.  The first mention of ding-dong ripping off.  That was a seminal moment in our podcast."
