I just knew Jacqueline was going home because of her earlier affirmations, then her self-doubt and self-destruction began to set in. Who makes a low-fat chicken mousse?

Agreed. No one put any emphasis on what he'd done, despite everything he was up against.
With all the talent in the world, why have the money people gotten so afraid and lazy?
There are very few original ideas in theaters compared to amount of remakes or sequels. The movie industry has homogenized itself to death, along with the music industry. I just paid $11 to a sequel. An okay one, but a sequel. This…
Who says my voice is more worthy of hers? No one. The A.V. Club writers should have strong viewpoints, but then they should be challenged.
Not if you look at some of the early entries. Top 40 music is more diverse and interesting than we give it credit for. By not including it in the conversation, we immediately assume is brainless pop from the NOW series.
So are guys. They get shows like "Tool Academy". This has less to do with the writer being a woman ("Mean Girls" was just a reference), and more to do with a bitter tone of writing that has gotten tired. Let's just face it: The Hater is Perez Hilton with a better vocabulary. In fact, The Hater is somewhat indebted to…
Again, why does it take Doogie Howser M.D. in a trenchcoat to recognize we're watching a satire here?
I think that because the characters never become disenchanted and cynical, one would think certain scenes are stupid. But if we look at war films during WW1 & WW2, war-which was previously illustrated as complex and devastating-began to push more propaganda "war hero" movies. Verhoeven uses some of the same plot…
HarbingerOfDuh, asterisks don't replace quotation marks.
This was taken from his bio on GQ.com.:
"That Cantankerous Bourdain!" will be back in a moment. But now….
There are some very interesting topics here, from vegan/vegetarian/meat-eating diets and how they tie in to our belief systems, to how eating-especially something very rare and expensive-brings about feelings of shame. Bourdain may be a little…
Your specific brand of sourness Amelie is interesting yet sad.
It's difficult to write something negative about someone I barely know, but, Amelie, you've made yourself available this long. It's time to say something.
Rivers will kick you in the crotch if you say women aren't funny
I take that back. Instead, she will tell you a joke that is so funny you will ask someone else to kick you in crotch for saying women aren't funny.
Sometimes I wonder that about large Tejano or Mariachi bands like Intocable. I see them on "Sabado Gigante" and wonder, "How in the HELL in anyone making money in these bands?
Way to wake up my bad pop memories and stuff.
I've always thought Ja Rule was a terrible Tupac revivalist-too soon and too lame. Somehow he got really popular, so I'm glad 50 Cent's juvenile beef with him took the air out of that bullshit act.
I first heard of Blackalicious
back in 1998. They were on a compilation that someone let me borrow.
That NYT article is a lot
For someone so inconsequential. I think "Arular" is a great album ("Kala" was okay), and I got her persona. I never bought into the idea that she's this violent person. She's an art school geek who likes black music and culture and whose pop's was sorta associated with the Tamil Tigers. There…
This isn't Bob Dylan, it's just 'Bootylicious'
Why would you take such a silly dance song so seriously? The lyrics are silly, the vocals are silly, the video is silly. So why is it hard for you to understand that maybe, just maybe, Michelle, Beyonce, and Kelly were in on the joke too? Though the song does hint at a…
Tied in with Bad Biy Records
This girl is amazing, and I'm so glad powerful people are behind her. I just hope that she makes her money with Bad Boy. Didddy's notorious for not paying talent.
I'm really thankful for your post. You were clearly much more thoughtful about the overall themes of the series, rather than becoming overly concerned with MacGuffins and false leads. I learned to let go of that stuff several seasons ago, and the show has gotten better since.
