I kinda agree, even if Community is clearly not as malicious about its Britta-Bashing as Family Guy almost always is with Meg. I do find the ratio of jokes that work for me to be better on Community than on Family Guy (I almost always find them distracting and it's one of the reasons I dislike most current episodes).

@avclub-7168bb1710a8992c120e727bad9f9df8:disqus , We need someone to look up the Space episode from season two… that could tell us how long it would take to get into/out-of town, right? Or at least give us some indication, as I doubt following a guy is the same as hauling ass in a KFC space simulator. This someone

No, no this guy is the Gutarist not the frontman. I distinctly remember the frontman being shorter and having Pete-Townsend nose

If that's true, then the lady on the radio (Q101 maybe? eh not important) interview I heard was flat out lying. She stated they met at a party or something and he promised to write a song about her. She also stated he invited her to the Grammy's. Wikipedia seems to confirm this, for what that's worth. I knew of the

Yes, this! The Book of Three ends with Taran questioning why everyone would celebrate his accomplishments, as he feels he didn't contribute much of anything. Also, the series as a whole seems to focus on his maturity as a leader and decision-maker, not how many people he cuts down in battle.

… also, yay I can comment at work again!

I know it fits your point but it's hard for me to include "A Bug's Life" in the narrative of the Downfall of Pixar. It's their second feature film and it came out in 1998.  Also, I'm not worried about them co-opting existing stories, although I hope they seek better inspiration than "Doc Hollywood." I'd much rather

Yeah, I don't think anyone suggested that at all. You might bristle at people saying Disney wasn't original, but in a discussion of where the actual stories came from I thnk they're right. That being said, I don't think it matters where the story originates.. it's all about the execution and actual process of

Ok, so he has "Punch Me" face and you  find the things he produces to be offensive and not funny. Well, I find the first to be of no importance and, depending on the joke or show in question, flat-out disagree with the second. I really think the level of hate MacFarlane gets around here is kinda overblown.

When it comes to Picasso the "worst" are jokes about how he "can't paint", you know something that can be said of every artist who doesn't present realistic renderings. I'm sure pop-culture is littered with examples and they're not all bad gags, but I find most to be simple observations on "that's not how a face

That commercial sucked in the whole room. I'd say it was the quietest point in the whole evening, where no one was talking and everyone was actually watching the TV.

He also has a beard.. just like notorious hipster Rutherford B. Hayes!

I admit I do not yet own the dvds, but I have no idea why that doesn;t already exist as a bonus feature?

You know I also didn't mind the scheduling thing, given that a new American Dad! is always cause for celebration, but, really… how hard is it to air a mardi gras episode around mardi gras?

I concur. While I love Archer and everything about it, I still appreciate a good American Dad! slightly more.

I liked the song and if given a five-year span w/out hearing it probably would again, but it's hardly my favorite Santana song and I agree with everything this Mastodon gentleman said regarding it's overexposure.

Yeah, in college I worked for a sammich shop.. we were all pretty high most the time (and hungover if were talkin' lunchrush), even the delivery drivers.

Hey, I'm sure there are plenty of people here that watch both Leverage and Community, and I doubt any Community fans will be shouting to the skies "WHY, GOD, WHY DIDN'T I BE NICER TO THE SHOW LEVERAGE!" (actually, if it makes you feel better I will totally do that for ya, friend) when that show ends. Besides, most

First of all, I hate LaPierre.. pike on a castle wall works for me. I just wanted to say that the "kind of applicants" they'd get would probably have the same mental illness rate as the general population. Even then, you think they wouldn't, oh I dunno, do some sort of background check and require training? Shit, my
