I only was a chem major for 2 years before switching, but why does Walt refer to it as a precursor instead of a reagent?

I don't see Mike being motivated by money - particularly needing millions of dollars for his granddaughter. Sure, it's nice that you could leave a lot of money for a kid, but really, it's not like she's going to be homeless or something without $2 million.

Well, not necessarily a chain of meth labs, but I thought there might be some implication that that the various restaurants were all engaged in some kind of illegal activity:
Yeah, you know your bathroom is placing style over practicality when the toilet seat is rectangular. Maybe that bathroom is exclusively for suicides? It would explain the color scheme (as well as the panic from the secretary).

Is anyone else here old enough to remember when this phrase was used to promote "The Mike Douglas Show", to the tune of "I Got Shoes"?
I just went back & skimmed the episode. At around 15:30, when Louie is talking to Parker about the kind of books a prepubescent girl would like (Posey saying how she was like that at her age), the "romance theme" plays longer than it previously did, and you can hear some woman singing. It continues up through the…

I don't think it's about fond memories - I think it's more about looking at regular women who are all dolled up trying to look their best for some occasion; the anonymity of it is what makes it good wank material - you can project whatever kind of despicable depravities on these unknown women and not suffer any guilt…

My wife said, "Hah, I knew it!" as soon as she said it, but, of course, it's subverted seconds later. Is the fact that she was joking about being a lesbian also predictable?

Actually, I think the song had a voice part that starts in after a little bit - easy to overlook because by that time there would be dialog or other stuff going on, but I'm pretty sure I remember some kind of woman singing in that early-60s girl-group fashion.
