I thought that Moffat had explicitely stated that when he said that he had "spent some time travelling" in Closing Time he had spent a good 200 years wandering about the galaxy having fun (also explaining the age difference between the dead and alive Doctors at the start of The Impossible Astronaut)?

I have to say, fair play to them. They must know that there's a level of media attention surrounding them no matter what they do, and this seems like a reasonably sensible move on their part to satisfy that innate curiosity while at the same time maintaining a reasonably normal lifestyle and keeping their privacy.

I'm genuinely curious, why is it such a British stereotype to the Americans that we all have dreadful teeth? Especially when we get free dental treatment on the NHS from childhood.
