I've been told
That Mr. E of the eels is somewhere in the audience during the first season(maybe second?)

Something occurred to me while reading this:
This show is one of those amazing circumstances where the group result is so much greater than the sum of its parts. It's rare on low-budget TV, often one part or another can(or has to) carry a show.

How's the reading comprehension in here? Try saying it out loud if you're still confused.

I just watched the season finale,
If this show isn't renewed, neither will I my Starz subscription.

So I'm watching this right now..
The bit about giving up weed is great, I gave it up about a year ago, and it's funny as hell.

I found out about this, two hours too late.
*bitter Nashville resident*

I'm sad to admit that a 14-year-old me didn't see the subtext. I was a late bloomer. I went to see the movie because the preview made it look badass, advertised with Blur's Song 2 (before it was everywhere).

As a former Wisconsin and current Nashville resident, I approve of this thread.

I always thought of The Sopranos as a detailed snapshot of modern America. Deadwood is the microcosm for historical America(which by no means ignores our recent history).

Christ, I'm on a strict diet at the moment.
Why the fuck am I reading this?

*shoots the living hell out of Bo's sidekick*

I was gonna buy this on iTunes.
But it's not on fucking iTunes! Guess I'll just cherry pick skits from YouTube. Your loss, HBO and Apple. (apologies to the talent, who I figure barely get a dime from dvd's anyway)

Crappy Simpsons merch
I had one of the bootleg "black" Bart t-shirts, I forget what he said, and I'm pretty sure my parents threw it away after the Republican party tore into them. Or they just didn't like me being a Simpsons fan at the age of 10 or 11.

Anyone who has read a handful of VDW's reviews realizes that Glee and Burn Notice are the two shows he should definitely be reviewing.

It's really not bad, but damn, they really need to change the format of it. Most people in ACTUAL therapy don't spend 2 hours a week on it. How can I do that with a show?

Seriously, I was also amazed by the amazingly accurate plotline.

Here's why (some) people do it:

Oh well.
Still, I'm glad people(and Variety) are noticing that it's definitely a snub by not including the best musical show on TV.

Here in Nashville
They still show Andy Griffith every night at 10pm. There are fairly impressive(and numerous) ads for the show on every single episode of Jeopardy!.

I'd like some more examples
of recent fiction that portrays the '90s as the calm before the storm.
