I first saw this on Night Flight (anyone remember that?) way back when before I really knew anything about David Lynch or any of his movies. Holy crap it was disturbing, but I couldn't stop watching it.

@avclub-dad8cbca829b18de405baf430f37234c:disqus - I'd imagine that most of Grease's innuendo would go over young kid's heads, so it mostly looks happy and colorful with a little bit of strife (and some bare bums). If I'm remembering the movie at all, I don't think there's any overt violence or profanity as such.

A friend of mine once rented Saturday Night Fever for her youngish kids, thinking it would be a lot like Grease. Needless to say, their viewing experience was short.
