B-side is pure barbershop about belt vs cummerbund.

Ruth Hussey was as close to pure Loy as you could get. Even William Powell would cop(per) to that.

Was Stewart watching all the video for the best clips, reading all the books of authors coming on the show, coming up with all the interview questions, writing all the jokes, or did he, maybe, have a staff around him?

Really, "probably the writing"?

Not sure if this what you're asking about, exactly, but Richard Jewell was blamed for pipe bombings at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. He was pilloried endlessly in the press; convicted by media, as they say. He was later exonerated but, in my memory of it all, this got scant attention.

Judith Butler's name should be in the Klein slot. Though she'd be aghast at the gender algebra I'm working with, that her name should replace a woman's, let alone that pun.

Brand's a sharp guy, well spoken. But yeah, he's not exactly an idea creator; he's an idea communicator. He doesn't create ideas like a Habermas, he repeats ideas like the ones Habermas creates.

I think he just wanted to deliver the "fuck her in the ass" line. He gets to choose which questions to include in his column, and he can pretty much edit them however he'd like. It's Herzogian. In fact, how about a Herzog Love column?

I'll find my way to Aunt Mamie and remember what you've written. I haven't seen it, but look fwd to it now.

K/no/w harpsichord, know JS Bach. I happen to love it, but I can see how it could be divisive. I hate the harp. But I don't identify any one particular composer with the instrument.

Fantastic! the line's brought me much amusement, and now I learn it's got even more to give!

The line, "…and she stepped on the ball." delivered in Central Park by Xanthippe's friend, is a quote / reference to the scene in Trading Places when Akroyd, after undergoing the first round of poverty induced humiliations, goes to the country club to tell his friends and Penelope what has transpired. Classic line.

The "multiple felonies" part is eye catching. Another "run-in" with the law could result in considerably more jail time.

I didn't. Sounds like I should give it a listen.

David Bowie.

I heard it was number two.

You are right, the "adventures of the Black Square" is at the Whitechapel Gallery in London, which won't be too hard for me to get to. And you're right about that wing of the Sted! It never even occurred to me to check about possible closures. Anyway, thanks, I'll make the most of it. Still the rest of Ams to enjoy.

The sentence is accurate in that it was first written during the early Barr years.

Uh well, probably supposed to frown on this, but then, that's pretty cool!

Stumbling into your comment is truly bizarre timing for me. I got a little punch to the stomach yesterday, one that I will share with precisely no one in my life, which is fine. But seeing reference to Malevich's Black Square here… and I'm going to share the story:
