I remember The Brain That Wouldn't Die being a good idea competently executed.
AvClub has an end of the year "unnecessary" category, I believe. This sounds like a strong contender.
Encouraging, thanks all.
Any blackadder fans around here? I've been considering giving it a try.
Well, I agree with you on all of this, particularly the mayonnaise part. I like everything that's in it but mixed together like that it repulses me. I could go on with adjectives like texture, appearance, and flavor, but you get the point. (I'd italicize adejctives if I knew how.)
On important points he'd hold the paddle (bat?) in both hands, gyrate them slowly, and go into a creepy monologue about how ping pong mirrors thuh a-warring an' uh-tugging in his soul. He had a wicked, very practiced serve.
How many times must I learn the lesson to browse through the comments before posting?
The great Robert Mitchum, with whom I once battled for control over a table tennis table on a cruise up the coast of Alaska, would often shared the screen with his sons James and Chris, in movies like Thunder Road, The Last Time I Saw Archie, and Young Billy Young. Robert also narrated Tombstone, and one of his kids…
Thank you. Was wondering where to post this, and how not to sound like a douche identifying it.
Ah, I see, thanks for the explanation. I mistook a couple of reviews and comments for the thing itself. I'll check it out with a fresh mind. I can stomach some "case closed" stuff too.
Debating with a homophobic idiot from twitter? This, for me, is negative advertising. I have no interest in witnessing something like this. It sounds coarse, frustrating, and like it would put me in a foul mood. Why would I seek this out?
Yeah, I loved that Scharpling bit but I'm a big fan of The Best Show. Can't see him ever posting on here though. As far as I'm concerned, seeing a podcaster on here builds a link and makes me more likely to give their stuff a try.
Doug Benson comes around here often, it seems, and that has turned me into a regular listener of his podcast. How many podcasters end up reading or posting on this page?
Despite having started it many times, I don't think that I have ever seen the end of Bladerunner. I have definitely not watched it all the way through. Maybe it's the pacing. I'm not against slow or deliberate pacing; I can watch Vertigo twice in a row. But yeah, something about Bladerunner doesn't work for me.
Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy night.
She's beautiful, she's rich, she's got… huge tracts of land.
Superfriends say Waazzzuuuuupp!!
Ah, agreed; posted this below. That's Iris DeMent singing Our Town. Playing over that wonderful show's final five minutes, it's a real tearjerker.
Iris DeMint's "Our Town" playing during the final minutes of Northern Exposure's finale made me forget about the lamentable final season and remember the warmth and humor of the series at its prime.
