I like that element of the show though. It's kind of like a network comedy but one that's gone horribly wrong.

The vomitting in the room amused me with it's enormity, but I have to admit I felt a bit queasy when we saw the bathroom. I don't have a problem with that scene though, as it was clearly meant to shock. And as there's not been anything quite like that in the rest of the episode, I'm willing to give them a pass.
Re: "And continued for a fourth following Prinze’s 1977 suicide." - I don't know the circumstances around the making of the show, but jesus that seems cold.
Re: "At last, an answer to the question, “What if Groundhog Day was about teenagers, instead?” - Unfortunately that question was already answered in 2014's Premature, a tedious indie flick starring John Karna, Craig Roberts, and Alan Tudyk. It's about a teenage boy who goes to a party and loses his virginity, but…
I like Julia's plotline a lot, but I agree with you that it shouldn't last all season, indeed at best I'd hope it's all over with within two or three episodes.
Yeah the way it was scheduled last year was a mess, and completely perplexing as they pretty much never treat a major show in such a way.
She won't let me go in to the spare room so I just don't know!
Oh without doubt, though the ending was somewhat cathartic at least.
That's very true, but I only saw it last year, so for me it still counts. Possibly.
In the UK the overnights were pretty disappointing for Season 9, I know the consolidated figures were better but they were still not as strong as during the peak Tennant / Smith era…I don't think we've anything to worry about when it comes to the future just yet, but I just have a feeling that they're going to go…
My girlfriend is rocking backwards and forwards and repeating the words "David Tennant" over and over again with a look of disturbing glee on her face. Should I call for help?
I genuinely just came here to suggest Olivia. In the last year she's been superb in Flowers, Fleabag, The Lobster and The Night Manager and I'd love to see her take on the role.
I really want it to be Olivia Colman. But I've a theory they're going to give it a young dashing male.
I'd recommend some of the Capaldi era then, season 9 was made up of a lot of two parters which moved at a slower pace. Unfortunately it's also spoilt by having one of the worst ever written companions in it.
No, they gave him a whole bunch of new regenerations a while back, so he's got another 11 lives left in him. And obviously if they ever use them all up, I'm sure he'll persuade the time lords to help him out again.
Likewise!
In other, only slightly less bleak news, Peter Capaldi is leaving Doctor Who, he announced it during an interview on Radio 2 tonight.
I wonder how much Trump's presidency has affected the new season, it's more than possible that after the election they decided to make changes and that's why it's taking so long.
That's one of my favourite aspects as well, along with having Hal Hartley as a director on the show, his episodes are almost always my favourites…
It had it's flaws without a doubt, and Craig Roberts character was the weakest admittedly, but I enjoyed the rest of the cast so much that it never bothered me.
