Happy Holidays, hope it's a lovely one and that 2016 is a great one for you. And for everyone, for that matter! :)

I really liked The Brink as well, and remembered each week in the comments section how frustrated everyone was with the av club's reviews. Still, bar that I agree with you, the rest is pretty weak stuff.

Until he faced off against Adam Driver I thought he might survive (and earlier thought they might kill off Chewie) but once he was on the bridge I knew he didn't have a chance in hell.

The biggest mistake for me was naming a central character after one of the Teletubbies. After that I had the theme tune in my head whenever he popped up, it ruined the movie I tell you!

That only one writer, LaToya Ferguson, nominated Big Time In Hollywood, FL is horrendously depressing. From now on I shall trust her reviews, and her's alone!

One other show I'm surprised has been ignored is Big Time In Hollywood, FL, it had the best sight gag I think I've ever seen (spoiler: the airplane exploding / shooting star comment) and some superbly ridiculously insane and funny moments. Plus Jason Alexander's cameo alone makes it well worth watching.

I'm guessing it's because it's not aired in the States, but Detectorists was probably my favourite show of the year (with Nathan For You and Review taking the second and third spots) it's not as wildly inventive as those two shows but it's just so beautifully gently funny with a lot of superb character moments that I

I'd start right at the beginning with On The Hour (a radio series, which also features Chris Morris) and then The Day Today to get a real feel for how the character developed. And continue in chronological order from there, I love it all, even the sometimes criticized second series of I'm Alan Partridge.

I've found the series to be a lot more enjoyable than The Walking Dead. It's trashy, no doubt, but has a knowing sense of humour about itself, and moves at a surprisingly fast pace. Some of the acting is a bit poor, and some episodes are padding, but when it's at it's best (the Wild West episode last year, the birth

that was going to be my suggestion. And I just hope him being in this doesn't prevent him appearing in a possible second season of Big Time. Though I know ratings were poor, so I'm probably just being over optimistic about that coming back.

Rumour has it that HBO only cancelled it because they saw the reviews here and presumed everyone felt this way. Admittedly it's a rumour I started just now, but who cares, let's form a mob and track that bastard down!

Constantine Thinks David S Goyer Should Have Been On Basic Cable, But Nowhere Near This Show.

Such a shame that the ratings have been so poor for this, it debuted with nearly half a million but is down to about 160,000 as of episode 7, I imagine it would have been cancelled if they hadn't ordered a second season from the get go. I only hope word of mouth spreads so that when it returns it has a larger

It did suggest that he briefly hesitated, which may weigh on Walter's mind, though I'm not 100% sure my interpretation is correct.

Nah. The opposite applies in no uncertain terms. Sorry.

Absolutely, I don't think it would have worked if they'd only concentrated on Walter Blunt, but by making it an ensemble piece with deeply layered (and delightfully fucked up) characters it's become something rather special. It's a shame so few people seem to watch it (at least here, and those I know in real life) as

I'd say New Voyages are slightly better, but Continues is also a lot of fun, if slightly cheesey every so often. It took me a little while to like their Kirk too, but after a few episodes I felt he relaxed in to the role in a pleasing way.

Oh yeah I do agree , I wasn't referencing your piece in the other post, more the comments section.

I know it's easy to be snarky but these are actually quite a lot of fun. Just a pleasant way to spend a nostalgic 45 minutes which are surprisingly well acted and shot. I'm also a fan of the Star Trek Continues series (though they're only up to five episodes so far), it's not something I choose to watch all the time
